My Vision Statement In my family, there has always existed sickness and illness. Whether it is genetic or self- inflicted; the impact of disease has left a mark on me. As a child, I would quiver with fear that I could or would die of some dreadful illness. As a young woman, I faced my fear head on and pursued a career in nursing to discover why and how diseases occurred and what could we do to prevent them. I started my career in the operating room with an ADN. I had discovered that knowledge is the most powerful tool in preventing illness.
