GROUNDS 2: Parents should be held responsible because when they are unaware/turn a blind eye, it can lead to delinquency, therefore the parents fault. (F#3) - to prevent defiant behavior from their children, parents must use effective discipline and monitoring (which varies from each child) - too harsh most likely won’t stop the behavior - lack of communication by parent can cause child to be defensive and reject their responsibilities - lead to anger/delinquent behavior (F#9) - children want to possess same traits as parents - then starting forming ideas of what they believe is right/grow independence - parents reacts in different ways (more strict or start to give up with the way their child behaves) (F#6) A parent turning a blind eye → delinquency too strict of parenting → misbehaving → crimes Parents need to be held responsible and be more aware of their kids behavior and have a more positive/beneficial impact on their children V.
