Bullying is a problem in all areas of the world. Many children experience some sort of bullying at least once throughout their middle and high school career. According to Marissa A. This is not limited to physical abuse, but also verbal attacks. When someone chooses to bully another individual, it is typically because they enjoy inflicting and using violence on others because they have positive views of it. When people think of the person being bullied, someone small, quiet, shy, and someone easily taken advantage of comes to their mind, and according to the article their thoughts are correct. Students are often absent from school when they are a continuous victim of bullying. More often than not, students who bully or participate in the act of bullying another student, show poor academic performance. Likely, they are aware of their negative performance and chose to do nothing about it. Not only does the bully have a poor academic performance, but often so does the victim.
