The article “The Early Education Racket” gives insight and advice to parent on whether or not they should send their child to preschool. I found the article very informative regarding the different kids of pre schools that are available and the different social classes that attend each one. I believe that article was very informative to parents raising young children or even those of us that plan to be parents in the future. The most major point highlighted in this article seamed to be that children that are raised in the upper class are more likely than those raised in the lower class to attend pre school. It was pointed out that families in the upper class send their kids to preschool because they are the families that are more encouraging to their children. I have never understood why parents send their kids to preschool when they could teach them. I think it is important for kids at such a young age from birth to five to learn from their parents and create that bond with them before going to a school. Children learn so much through this stage and I think it is important for children to learn a majority of that from their parents. The article “The Early Education Racket” is overall a good insight into the authors views on whether children should attend preschool or not. It brought in new insight for me a child that grew up in a household that didn’t send their children to preschool. Some house holds take the decision of whether to send their children to preschool as a huge debate while others are more laid back about the idea.
