Imagine owning the pet that you have always wished for. In this reading we are going to talk about how to choose the correct pet for you. Specifically, owning a dog will be the focus of this essay. This is important because you do not want to get a dog and it ends up in the animal pound. Owning a dog should require a family, breed and habit analysis.
First, a family analysis would be an important consideration before owning a dog. For instance, if a family has children, that would make a difference. Young children might be too small for a big dog to be running around a house or yard. Older children will want a dog to run and play, so a little dog could get smashed beneath the feet of large children. Where the family lives will be another family analysis to complete because if a family lives in an apartment, then a large dog would be out of the question. There would not be enough space to run. A family that lives in the country with lots of land could have a big dog because there would be plenty of room for the dog to run. More importantly, a good family analysis would include covering the idea of families without children. Childless homes will want to consider all of the above concerns, but they will have more flexibility because they won’t have child considerations. Clearly, a family analysis would be an important step prior to owning a dog.
