During the Second World War, Hitler sought out to carry out his “final solution” which was primary known as the Holocaust. The Holocaust was a series of Concentration camps, or death camps, which forced prisoners, many Jews, and some criminals, through hard labour. Those who were not in good shape, too young, or too old, were sentenced to death by gas chamber and their bodies were later burned. Although there were many Concentration Camps, the main and first one was called Auschwitz. Auschwitz was Hitler’s First attempt at his “final solution” but he could not have done it without his SS, his placement of the camp, his popularity with the people, his war experience, and the population.

Without the people and their support, Hitler would have never risen to power in the first place and would not have the work force to build Auschwitz. Before the Second World War when Hitler was rising to power, Hitler had a great effect on the German people. “The Germans at first followed Hitler when he developed as a powerful animated speaker who appealed to the mass public’s baser desires” . This then caused the people to become mesmerized by his speeches. Hitler in his first speeches blamed the Jews that were coming to Germany for the bad economy and he preached this view to the German people. The German people agreed with him, saluted him and were on his side about the Jews, because of this, he gained a great deal of power from the people. Then as the 1940’s came around the German people were already on his side about disliking the Jews. Therefore when the people saw all of the Jews getting deported most of the people were happy and not raising questions as to exactly why. “There was not a word in this passage of the pathological obsession with ‘removing Jews’” . Hitler was in the Germany Army during the First World War and felt very passionate towards the well-being of Germany. Therefore, when Germany had decided to surrender at the end of The First World War, Hitler was upset and did not agree. “The Nazis' rise to power was tied directly to the staggering defeat suffered by Germany in World War I (1914-18)” . This then prompted him to start The Second World War. Then since Hitler was in charge in The Second World War, he could apply the tactics and strategy he learned during his time and he could use his power to get back at those he felt had wronged Germany before and during the First World War, the Jews. “Hitler was named Chancellor of Germany in 1933” and using this power, which only was able to achieve by being in the Second World War, Hitler was able to set up his Concentration camps in strategically, adding to his “final solution”. Therefore, Hitler’s involvement and experience in The First World War helped Hitler gain experience and strategy that he would have otherwise not had, leading him to the creation of the concentration camps and adding to his “final
