Katniss and the Hunger Games

Even though Katniss Everdeen ended up winning the Annual Hunger Games, she faced many challenges along the way. Katniss faced one of greatest challenges before the reaping of the games. She was challenged with protecting and caring for her family. Katniss had to regularly get food for her family to survive through starvation. Another challenge Katniss faces is her relationship with Peeta. She doesn’t know if he truly has feeling for her or if he is ”Playing her” to get farther in the games. The hardest challenge Katniss faces by far is surviving the whole games. She has to keep herself alive and beware of her enemies. Throughout all of her challenges, she overcomes them and wins the Hunger Games with fellow contender …show more content…

It was by far one of the toughest things she had ever done in her life. Katniss was a hunter, meaning she could kill animals and find berries. Katniss had never killed anyone in her entire life. There were people in the games know as career tributes have trained for the hunger games since they were little. These were the people Katniss had to watch out for, they could easily snag her up and kill her. The Careers weren't the only thing she had to watch out for. The gamemakers tended to throw in many obstacles in the games to make it more interesting for the capital to watch. Big or small, it happened in her life and she overcame it. As a kid, she never had a perfect life. Katniss’s mother went into depression when her dad died so she had to care for her whole family by herself. Then she was thrown into the Hunger Games and her life got even more complicated. Katniss had to survive the Hunger Games with many enemies always after her. Then she began to have feelings for her fellow district twelve tribute Peeta and won the games with him. Though it was a long journey, it eventually came to an end and she arrived back home to district twelve finally getting to see her mother, Prim, and got to see her really close friend
