In a matter of time going through experiences helped find the good in an unpleasant situation. Jamison wouldn’t have been able to go down a path that would have lead to her finding balance with her life if she didn’t decide to find the beauty in what she had. It took time and experiences for us to find the beauty in the current schools we were attending. The beauty in this school was present and didn’t need to be created, but it needed to be found somewhere. How beauty is found in certain things and scenarios in life is illustrated in the black lives matter movement. This movement stemmed from generally negative situations the most prominent of those being cases such as the Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Freddie Gray, and Sandra Bland cases. These situations shined a light on some of the underlying racism problems that still show up in today’s day and age. These events call for people to educate themselves about what is actually going on in police stations, court case sand places of authority. I experienced the effects one of these events first hand during the Freddie Gray riots in Baltimore. I live near the area the riots took place and I visualized much of the destruction the riots caused to the city. I also heard of the schooling districts discussing whether or not to close school, based on the events. This caused me to do more research on why this actually happened and who Freddie Gray was. The black lives matter movement is a beast of its own, considering the controversy that is has brought about, but it is also beautiful because it started a revolution of properly going about dealing with racial problems in today’s
