A tale without a purpose but to get a good grade
You know what? I used to write a lot when I was a kid. There is a sort of liberating quality about writing that fitted me like a glove. I was so shy, painfully shy, and the only way I could express myself was through writing. I wrote diaries, poems, tales and some tacky, dirty songs that I want to forget but my brother has made his purpose to remind me of them. So yeah, writing was my thing.
Then the internet came to my life and nothing was the same. I guess I just found a new way of entertaining myself. That, summed up to the fact that I wasn’t (so) shy anymore, led to the end of my affair with the pen.
And now, I feel obliged to rekindle with it. To make it easy for you to understand, it is like when you break up with somebody. It has been long since the last time you saw them and they suddenly want to get back together. You are not so sure about it, things could go great or go wrong, and there is no third option. So here I am, with the promise of a bad grade acting as Mephistopheles, trying to rebuild a broken relationship, and at the same time realizing why we had that relationship years ago. The thing that first hooked me to write was the freedom that implies and I think that is what makes writers addicted to this experience.
