Why measure personality?
Personality testing has been used through history to measure how a person will respond, perform or integrate in certain situation and incidents. Companies around the world uses some type of personality assessment to either promote or hire individual within their organization. The military uses a personality test called Tailored Adaptive Personality Assessment System (TAPAS) to measure how well a civilian will fit in prior to becoming a solider (Vergun, 2015). Will do what is right even if no one is looking. With that said, most politicians are not part of this category. A person who I feel has a great personality is Bill Gates; not because he has a lot of money, but he gives to so many people and organization and does not blast his accolades over the media.
Who has a “bad personality”?
A person with a bad personality is a person who exhibits negative traits. This is the category I would include most politicians; whether they are in the news or not. A person who is egotistic, selfish, unstable and critical; just because you are introvert or shy does not mean you have a bad personality.
What are five personality traits that are affected by culture?
Based on Miller and Lovler (2015) the five personality traits are “extroversion, emotional stability, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness to experience” (p. 455). Culture is what shapes and mode an individual to who they are and who they will become. If a person who may have undergone a negative experience in an early part of their life, their personality can be altered.
