It does clarify what we want to do and what is important to us. It improves self-understanding and builds better relationships with others and Increase our chances of strong interpersonal skills by considering our strengths. For example, when I worked as a tax professional, I always think as a salesperson and engaged clients in a conversation about their expectations and demands rather than considering only filing the tax return. A successful sale is often brought about simply because of my acknowledgement that I am in a good relationship with the client as a human being, not as a consumer. I think it always take time to build rapport, no matter how brief a connection with another person. I noticed after time I was greatly impressed by how much easier my interactions with others …show more content…

After taking this personality test I could not decide if I felt that my results were accurate about me or not. The personality test resulted in describing me as an extravert, intuitive, feeling, and judging (Humanmetrics,
This assessment score surprised me for I feel that I am very tolerant and adapt well to change, but maybe, as I get older, I resistance change because I have found principles and ideas that work well to achieve success and see change as only undermining what is already working (McShane & Von Glinow, 2016, p. 429). McShane & Von Glinow (2016, p. 428) says that “constructive communication” can overcome resistance. This statement is directed at management, but I plan on using this same advice to overcome my own resistance to change from management. Changes are occurring in my department and some role realignment is going to take place, as this occurs, I agree with McShane & Von Glinow (2016, p. 434) that this change will cause me additional stress, of course, now that I know this I can actions to prevent it. An article written by John MacArthur’s says that the Apostle Paul when faced with pressure still reserved “room in his heart to feel the anxiety of other” (MacArthur, 2012), so when thinking of change, instead of just seeing it as something that is stressing me out, I need to realize that others are probably going thought the same emotions and symptomize with them other, for MacArthur also says that, “Anyone who knows and loves Jesus Christ is capable of handling pressure like that” (MacArthur, 2012). I also need to remember that God is in control and no matter what changes occur God will see me through it (Matthew 6:26). By managing change better, will make me a
Personality is a link within oneself, the growth of a person’s mental structure; it is the combined whole that is larger than the amount of the parts, or the complete amount of ways in which a person reacts to and interacts with others. The most common way of measuring personality is by self-report surveys, with which people measure themselves on a sequence of factors. Observer-ratings surveys give a self-sufficient assessment of the personality. Personality also appears to be a result of both heredity and environment.
In project 1, my review outlines my personal personality type, as completed on the website for the Jung Typology Test. According to the Myers-Briggs Personality Test online, my type was indicated to show that I am Introvert, Sensing, Feeling and Judging (ISFJ) according to review within the humanmetrics.com =Criterion needs work website. In this case review and upon my own personality review, the framework of my meaning as outlined in the Myers-Briggs personality type description can lead me to truly understand each one of my own personal attributes and can lead others in this course in truly understanding the reasons we are who we are and convictions for loving, fighting, arguing, and even the passionate behaviors and other personal responses we show to ourselves and especially others. In personality assessments, such as in this week’s agenda, we are not out to simply label ourselves or most importantly others, but overall should be thinking of how we may obtain a distinctive understanding of our foundational
The self-assessment test shows people their areas of strengths and weaknesses (Bethel University, 2014). In order to achieve success people must learn to use their strengths and improve their weaknesses. The first step in this process is learning which skills are strengths and which are weaknesses (Bethel University, 2014). After taking the test I was pleased to find I had more strengths than weaknesses. However, the test brought to light issues that I did not realize could be hindering my success. My management skills need the most improvement.
Utility of assessment. Why are these types of personality assessments useful? Did you find the results useful? Why or why not?
To ensure good quality and coverage of health services, facilities can conduct self-assessment by analyzing and comparing the actual activities against plans made and targets. The analysis of quality of health services refers to quality of the best possibility treatment patients/clients receive. This requires the reference to the protocol and guidelines for standardized treatment. For example, the proportion of children under one get the correct vaccines at the right intervals. The analysis of coverage suggests the number of patients/clients receive a particular services compared to those who should have received it. For example, how many children under 1 year old are immunized?
In the vast and detailed world of psychology, there are a variety of different tests you can participate in. For example, you can participate in aptitude, verbal or numerical reasoning, and psychometric tests. These tests assess on a variety of different situations such as: behaviors, abilities and intelligence. Personality tests, a common and favored test, measure things such as: behavioral style, opinions, motivators, personal values and career interests. Most often, people complain or disagree with the score of some areas on their personality test; however, there are no right or wrong answers. After completing this personality test and reviewing the results, I found that the overall scoring accurately described me in most areas. The Big Five Personality test scores in five different areas involving openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.
I believe our personalities make up who we are and how others perceive us at times. Personalities are our own unique qualities, that we possess as individuals. In writing this short paper, I have found that psychologists use assessments to define an individual’s personality to determine their qualities and what makes them different from other individuals. Through the Big Five Personality test, I found it difficult to define and understand an individual personality
As my English 101 class comes to an end, I have realized how much I have transformed as a writer. In this essay, I am going to explain what I realized my strengths and weaknesses are as a writer and how they have manifested themselves throughout the quarter. I was skeptical at first coming into this class knowing that English takes formidable work and dedication, but I am very proud of the progress I have made. We completed a great deal of work throughout the quarter; from grammar exercises, summary reviews, and two challenging essays. Throughout the quarter I found myself improving in each category. As a writer, my skills and confidence have developed into more clarity and thought, something I have always wanted to be, as a result of a well constructed class that led to a superb educational experience.
It may have its limitations because people do not have the same personality in every situation. For example, a teen or adolescent will talk and interact with their parents way differently than with their friends. With this in mind, a person will exhibit many different personalities throughout the day. Which one is the correct personality or corresponds with who the person truly is. Also, the test only provides answers to how the individual’s personality is at one particular time. Through the first eighteen years of life, a person will change drastically because interests, aspirations, and social situations change. Maybe future improvements of the test can incorporate predictions as to how traits and personalities will change overtime. Nevertheless, the Big Five personality test is the best test developed and is a great way of understanding what makes us
Taking a personality test is something that I have had to do a few times. First in college while going for my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, then while attending Airman Leadership School, and finally for this class. Taking these test all three times I have received similar if not the same results so I think that I have answered these truthful each time. Some of the tests that were required for this class were more in depth, taking 82 sub test
After completing the assessment exercise I have been able to carefully my personality. The exercise consisted of an evaluation of four areas: Locus of Control, Personality Type, Stress Reactions, and Learning Styles.
After the self-assessment, now I feel confident about my qualities and how I need to deal with people with different personality having very differently thinking and how we can come to a common solution of any problem.
Well I guess I’ll start off this paper by being outright honest. I have never done this type of self-assessment exercise. So I’ll start this paper off with what exactly this type of self-assessment is. These types of self-assessments are meant to help show the individual (me) where my strengths lie and also where my weaknesses are as well so that I may try and lean on my strengths while improving on my own shortcomings. Essentially the Johari Window four regions model that we learned about is a great tool for this assessment. The first region is also known as the open area, which essentially means that this is what is known by the person about him/herself and is also know by others. The second region is known as the blind area in which this is information unknown by the individual but is known by others. Which could be behaviors that an individual does but does not realize that they are doing them. The third window is known as the hidden area. This area is essentially information that only you know about yourself and others do not. The fourth area is known as the unknown area. It’s known as that because this is information that you and others do not know about you. It’s when you take a look at these four areas and see your strengths and/or weaknesses are at and if you allow yourself to become open to feedback you then can improve on your own shortcomings and become a better leader.
