How to Survive High school In a recently-conducted study for the journal Frontiers in Psychology, researchers found that “49 percent of students reported feeling ‘a great deal of stress’ on a daily basis” (Ossola, para 2). This statistic is very surprising, but with my tips on how to survive high school, kids can feel way less stressed during their high school career. Highs school really is not that hard if you get involved, are organized, are able to communicate with adults and hang out with the good people and friends. These few steps will make high school a lot easier and much more fun. One of the biggest parts of surviving high school is to get involved in clubs and sports. In most schools there are many clubs and sports to choose from. Some clubs include, volunteer club, glee club, medical careers club, restaurant club and many more. By having this skill high school will become much easier for you. You should never be afraid to talk to teachers or faculty. If you make good relationships with faculty and teachers in your freshmen year, it will set you up for the rest of your high school career. For example, when the time comes when you need a college recommendation letter, if teachers like you they will be willing to write you a good letter. Also, if you have any concerns or problems you should always go find a faculty member or an adult you trust. They will always be willing to help you get through this time and it will be very beneficial to you. Lastly, if you ever need help with work or studying for an upcoming exam, you should always ask your teacher (Song, bullet 3).
