Each and every organization should have a strategic plan in place. It does not matter whether the organization is big or small. The importance of the strategic plan may vary from the different goals the organization has in place. The staff members should understand each department or division has their own goals to accomplish. Some goals may be long term and others are short term. It is important when assign various goals for each department or division in order to help to the organization grow and build. By doing this, it helps the organization to be successful. The plans must be realistic and durable to achieve. When there are plans in place it helps the organization to achieve their goals. When the manager has a clear plan or idea, the organization is able to move forward toward their goals. A good effective plan saves time and money for the organization.
Most organizations are not sure what their current status is. If this is the case, it will be hard to understand where they need to go. The organization should be able to access information for the situation by gathering financial information and data from the customers. It will be a good idea to identify the organization strengths and weaknesses when they are forming their plans. In addition to forming different plans, the organization must be able to establish and acknowledge what their priorities are and deciding which one they should work on from beginning to end.

The organization should assign managers and other staff members to help with monitoring the goals of the organization. Each individual should have their individual tasks to complete on a daily basis. The individuals should be honest and focuses on integrity standards when providing their findings.
