Music has been playing an important role in shaping teen ideologies and interests for generations now. Kids today often lose themselves to music, and use the emotions behind music to help them get through whatever they need to. Due to genre differences between generations, it is hard for the older generation to understand the free spirit of the Y generation. Australian Synth pop band Strange Talk, was able to portray the rebellious youth of the Y generation in their latest hit, Young Hearts giving teens a voice and a shot at acceptance with the elderlies. Strange Talk is an indie, electronic band that formed in 2010. The band consists of four members from Melbourne, Australia. They are able to connect by remembering their golden days. After repeating the chorus again, the band does a musical intruded with the bass, guitar, vocals, drums and electronic beats before closing the song once again with the chorus and concluding the song
In relation to the music video, the music video was directed by award winning director Josh Logue from Mathematics Label. Young Hearts music video was released April 30, 2014 along with their debut album. The video has earned up to 171, 512 viewings and 3,000 likes (Youtube.com). Logue was able to team up with the band to create a music video that sends out a message to the kids of this generation.
