1) Sports psychologist’s works by drawing on the knowledge from many different areas including physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology and also psychology. They use all these different areas and then make a judgment on how psychological factors are affecting and how they can affect performance, also how participation in sport and exercise affect not only psychological factors but also physical factors.

All these athletes are from a variety of sports but all have short tempers which can then affect their individual performances. These 3 Athletes would all benefit from sports psychology because they all need to focus on their goals rather than who is annoying them and setting off their short fuse. Certain mental strategies, such as visualization, self-talk and relaxation techniques would greatly help these athletes overcome the obstacles the face and achieve to their full potential while staying calm in the process.
To back up some of these claims Ron Artest (Metta World Peace) has seen sports psychologist in the past and his performance then improved greatly which was noticed by everyone, he credited his performance enhancements to working with a sports …show more content…

Strategies and methods that would of helped Ron Artest (Metta World Peace) in his path to success would first be setting goals for both his mental and physical skills from here he could start to develop into the athlete he wanted to be, these goals have to be specific and measurable. A long-term, comprehensive vision of the type of player he wanted to become, this helped Ron develop further. He then worked on his own strategies and patterns and how to master them and use them as a weapon in a positive manner. Then when it can to game day he learnt what kind of emotional/psychological approach he would take to the game and how he could be psychologically prepared, this new approach changed his game majorly. Along with stress management, imagery and visualisation, concentration, attention control and motivation strategies and methods are how Ron Artest (Metta World Peace) got his athletic performance back on
