The private schools will usually be more successful at sports. Some people rely on sports in their everyday life. Not only do kids rely on it, but the parents of these children rely on it for many reasons. One reason parents want their child to be successful at sports is because they want them to keep playing so they are healthy and in the best physical shape possible. The physical shape that a child is in is important since it can make them healthier. The sports also teach them there is more to the world than just themselves, they 're a team. It takes more than just one person to be successful at sports it takes a team. Sports are also important because it gives the students a responsibility and something to do after school. Also, sports allow …show more content…
Public school have worse all around conditions for students currently and in the future. The private school education is by far cleaner do to the amount that one pays for their student to attend that school. Since it is being paid for by an adolescents superior the school will concentrate on a cleaner and healthier education. John Taylor Gatto once said, “I 've noticed a fascinating phenomenon in my thirty years of teaching: schools and schooling are increasingly irrelevant to the great enterprises of the planet. No one believes anymore that scientists are trained in science classes or politicians in civics classes or poets in English classes. The truth is that schools don 't really teach anything except how to obey orders. This is a great mystery to me because thousands of humane, caring people work in schools as teachers and aides and administrators, but the abstract logic of the institution overwhelms their individual contributions. Although teachers to care and do work very, very hard, the institution is psychopathic -- it has no conscience. It rings a bell and the young man in the middle of writing a poem must close his notebook and move to a different cell where he must memorize that humans and monkeys derive from a common ancestor.” This quote is relevant due how public schools just offer the basic classes and offer very few life teaching classes that people think one needs, but the truth is the civics and all the other nonsense classes will not teach one how to balance a checkbook or other things like that. Private academies will offer these excellent life teaching classes in order for one to learn what he or she needs to in order to be able to succeed and perform later on in life. The private school education is just not worth wasting time on. Attending a private academy is by far the superior choice a person should make to ensure the best education for himself or
The improvements made by public schools should not be discounted, either. While there are certainly schools and school districts that remain very troubled those administrators and schools boards are not standing idly by. There are continuous improvements in such schools, and there needs to be even more. Taking money from them when efforts are being made to improve their condition will clearly on hinder such improvement. Private schools are and should remain an option for all parents, but our society mustn't waver when it comes to supporting our public schools.
There is one thing that a lot of public schools do very well is make them magnet schools for arts, drama and science but they never come to the topic of athletics. This is the reason why public schools fail to meet the accolades of private schools. When you look at private schools the expectations of the parents and students is to have qualified coaches and parents are willing to pay for that level expertise.
In addition to having to pay for private school tuition, private school families currently have to pay public school taxes as well. Having to pay for both school systems may put a financial burden on these families. If a particular family has more than one child or more than one child that is enrolled in a private school, this may also increase financial stress. The same idea goes for families that no longer have a child enrolled in a public school. That particular child may be attending college after they had graduated from a public high school....
Most people go to public schools. They never read about other schools or what they offer. Why do we chose public schools anyway? Most Parents know they just want to have a child that can live how they did and learn where they have. Parents have been around and they wanted their child to be what was expect of them, going to school, get good grades and find a great college. Later on in the child’s life they would be happy but it all starts with the question what kind of school should they start. Most parents ignore the fact that there are charter schools which are close to public schools. The few things that are different is the services that public schools provide also the grades of the students last the teaching requirement in the schools.
Whether you are an avid spectator of football, hockey, basketball, or NASCAR, you have witnessed a fair amount of violence. In the 2013-2014 football season, at least five different college football players broke their leg, and hundreds of other players at the high school, college, and even professional level have injured a plethora of other body parts in a variety of methods. Hockey is considered one of the most violent sports in the world—the players have violent tendencies and generally release their anger on their opponents—and, unsurprisingly to its audience, results in many injuries. While basketball is not considered particularly violent, audiences are thrilled when they witness almost any sort of injury. Last year, University of Louisville guard Kevin Ware’s compound fracture broke through his skin, exposing his broken bone to everyone around him. Several people took videos of the incident and less than a year later, the video has nearly tw...
Sports are a popular pastime among all ages and types of people. People not only participate in them for fun, but also for money, physical fitness, rush of competition, and for many other personal reasons. Playing sports is especially common among young people in schools. Athletics are great and enjoyable for many reasons, but there can be a point where sports participation can go too far and become negative for children and adults. Sports specialization for young people is an increasing trend that results in sports having a negative impact on individuals and society.
Sports can help many at- risk youths. In order to participate in sports you need to be committed and willing to work hard. You also have to learn to respect others and accept that winning isn’t the only measure of success. Losing can build character as well. When youth participate in a sports they enjoy, they are less likely to engage in behaviors that are harmful or dangerous to themselves and others. It is for these reasons schools should strive to maintain athletic programs for their students.
I realized that I was going to school for the wrong reason -- to play ball. The
Whether someone prefers a public school or a private school, it all depends on the person. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to appreciate all that public schools have to offer because they get their vision blurred by all the benefits of private schools. The only thing holding them back may be cost. If these people would just take some time to find that there are just as many wonderful things about the schools our governments provide, they may feel more confident in their choice. Those never exposed to anything but private education miss out on the diversity among students, extra vocational and extracurricular classes, and may even continue to not understand all that public schools have to offer.
Class Size is another issue. In private schools there’s usually smaller classes, so students are getting more attention. This makes it better for the students because if they need help, then it’s easier to get help from the teachers and to be more focused because of less noise and easier for teachers to control their classrooms.
Jeff Kemp, a retired professional NFL quarterback, once stated, “Sports teach positive lessons that enrich America even while revealing its flaws” (Kemp). Athletics offer so much more than the joy of game day and the thrill of a win. Being involved in sports holds the key to a world filled with passion, excitement, and once in a lifetime opportunities. There is nothing better than seeing the student section arrive in full force or hearing the school fight song chanted before kickoff. However, when life moves on and leaves sports behind, the lessons it has instilled in athletes never disappears. The play calls may be foggy and the jersey will be too tight, but what was innocently learned in the jersey shines out at an older age. Although life lessons can be learned through everyday activities, lessons such as teamwork, self-confidence, and dealing with failure are only truly learned through sports by young athletes.
Private schools should be abolished because education should allow for equal opportunities for all students. Education is supposed to provide better chances of success for the student. Students that attend a state funded school faces a disadvantage as soon as they graduate from secondary school and apply for college.{ talk about private school to college ration} There have been reports about college being biased in the selection process when choosing between state funded and privately funded school applicants. Many educators would agree that a privately funded education is typically more beneficial than a state funded education. “It seems silly to propose scrapping a system of education that provides positive results and successful results.” (CITE DEBATEWISE.ORG) The system should not be scrapped but instead needs to be inputted into the public school system. It should be put into the public school sector because it is not fair for a wealthier individual to able to obtain a better education just becaus...
Public schools have pros and cons just like any other form of education. One of the pros is that it is less expensive. Textbooks are generally provided free of charge and if something does require money, the child may have the opportunity to rent the item or have the fee waived due to financial restrictions. Another pro is that a child, especially during the high school years, can have a choice in what courses they take throughout the years of their educational career. The students can also drop out of the majority of the classes that are not mandatory and replace them with another class that they prefer or would do better in. Private schools are another option and the learning is more effective when compared to public schools, but not every family can afford a private school. Homeschooling is less expensive, in most cases, than private
I think private school are better and have more advantages than public school. There are upsides and downsides for both schools. Private schools have newer facilities and other materials. The benefits of private school for the students are that they have smaller class sizes and better teacher ratios from the students. Private have a high standards for discipline and respect to one another. Seventy two percent of parents agreed to send their kids to private school, because it has greatly improved students’performance and brighter experience and achievements in there harder lessons (Maga 2). Students will also have more individual attention. Students are motivated by the teachers to help in their studies. Parents would also have more opportunities to get involved with their kid’s education and that is very good thing. Private have flexible teaching methods for the students to do better. There are many advantages for the students (Elizabeth 1). Let’s talk about disadvantages. Their goal is to offer better education without making a profit (Amy Witherbee 2). Private school charge tuitions and that sound n...
