Today a lot of countries use satellites for different purposes and naturally when these satellites end of life, they create space pollution. Some people think that it is too dangerous for our world and they use what Garcia says. According to Garcia “More than 500.000 pieces of debris are tracked as they are orbiting the Earth. They all travel at a speed of 17.500 mph, fast enough for a relatively small piece of orbital debris to damage a satellite or spacecraft. The rising population of space debris increases the potential danger to all space vehicles, but especially to the International Space Station, space shuttles and other spacecrafts with humans aboard”(Garcia, 2015, para. 1). Yes, satellites may create pollution, but there are a lot of different uses of satellites, almost everything in today’s world work due to satellites. If we look at closely to use of satellites, we should look what Logsdon says. According to Logsdon there are many applications of satellites. For example, weather satellites in the weather forecast, remote observation of land and sea surface to get images and other information such as crop forecasting, resource management , enviromental applications.
