As a sex worker, Scott speaks from her experience and for her co-sex workers. On the one hand, prostitution can be considered as moral if it happens between consenting adults and prostitutes are not harassed or abused in any way. Also, prostitutes want their work to be legalized so they can report abuses to the authorities and follow legal responsibilities. On the other hand, others see prostitution as immoral as it can come from sexual trafficking and violate monogamous marriages (MacKinnon & Fiala, 2018). Furthermore, legalizing it can be considered as unnatural to a society that sees sex work as taboo.
