Recommended: Socrates's influence

I believe it is wrong that Socrates is destroying the youth. From this I do not understand what benefit he would of recieved by doing such a thing. However, whether to believe in the city's gods is a personal preference and belief each individual has. Socrates was an independent individual who believed in what he wanted to believe in instead of what others wanted him to believe. In my opinion, having your own values and beliefs define who you are as a person and isolates you from others. It potrays your personality as well as shows what unique characteristics you may have. As a wise person Socrates influenced others like Plato that looked up to him and created hs own rules and became independent by making decisions such as starting a school
