The social information processing theory is based on how people get to know each other, and develop relationships based on computer mediated communication also known as CMC. This form of communication includes sending messages on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and other popular social networking. CMC also includes sending text messages, emails, making phone calls and also face timing. No matter how far the distance is to the person you wish to communicate with it is still possible to come in contact with them using these ways of communication. Individuals of all ages are presently utilizing technology to correspond with individuals as opposed to talking face to face.
