During our existence as human beings, we have altered our ways of living in society. The act of smoking can have detrimental effect in a person’s social, emotional, physical life and can lead a person into the state of depression or insecurity. The repercussions are beyond wildest dreams and will change a beings life eternally. At the age of 9, my grandfather had passed away with lung cancer due to the over use of cigarettes. Years of frustration had haunted him down till the day of his death and with that affected his loved ones. With days of straight sorrow, I wanted to evolve a method/program that would help those who are trying to stop smoking. Through group participation, therapy, and activities, I would like to have nonfunding organization which will aid in those who are looking to stop.
Furthermore, smoking can influence a person’s mental and physical life. Smoking is prone to causing many diseases in the way that it enters the human body. Starting with the mouth, the smoke is known for causing cancer of the …show more content…

As the smoke progresses towards the bronchi, it releases harmful chemicals which ties along the bronchi, leading to chronic smokers cough. “Smokers are 10 times as likely to get lung cancer and emphysema as nonsmokers” (How Smoking Affects Your Body).
