I have an offer , how about :
· Matt and dull hair
· Discolored fingers that smell bad
· Yellow Teeth
· Accelerated aging with early wrinkles , especially around the mouth
· Bad taste and smell .
· Poorer blood circulation. Ie . gray and pale skin, easy to freeze , and cold hands and feet.
· A change in hormone balance in the body. For girls : the look and the voice more manly and increased hair growth on the body and face.
· You may have to pay with your life
Anyone want to take up the offer ? It's the same as asking : How many want to start smoking? No ? Neither do I.
But unfortunately I have no choice in most public patios. One says passive smoking but I want rather call it involuntary smoking .
It was not me who chose to bombard my

The smoke terrorizing the surroundings at bus stops and train stations. The smoke terrorizing the environment outside the school gate, and just outside the recreation center. The smoke terrorizes the surrounding area outside the shops and conference rooms. And as if that was not enough , it terrorizes the smoke surrounding the full 20 minutes after the disgusting stained fingers brought the cigarette to his mouth one last time. Although the glow of the cigarette tip disappeared for all eternity under the sole of the shoe attaches to this nauseating gas trapped in hair, clothing , lungs and poisons everything nearby.
You just have to choose . Living sensible or dangerous. I 've made a selection , the smoker has made a choice , you have made a choice? Forget party smoking : You take a puff now and then . To say , "I can stop if I want " does not hold, the only one who believes in the smokers themselves . I decline to spew out pollutants like a living plant. And since smokers also have made their choice , they must take responsibility for the consequences.
What if it was so , that if one had to kill his body from the inside , so you had to take into account those who did not. Then walk away from the playground , concert area , diner , busstoppet and bar. It is not enough , for example, a smoke
...fected as secondary smokers. Universities, public places, and stores have laws to control smoking in their locations, but since there are thousands of people, customers and the public in general who smoke, it is a very controversial topic and it is difficult to have a final decision about it. Many people argue that why it is possible to drink beers in some activities the university organizes, as a result we can see there are no laws that is focus one single aspect and many people believe that the administrative of the university want to have that market of students who do smoke instead of sending them to other location so they loss people, so loss money. The most important aspect is to take into account that health disorders can take place and smoking is not a specifically and advantage. Smoking is actually a negative variable for any heath problem we can have.
Smoking cigarettes is a detrimental practice not only to the smoker, but also to everyone around the smoker. According to an article from the American Lung Association, “Health Effects” (n.d.), “Smoking is the leading cause of preventable death in the U.S., causing over 438,000 deaths per year”. The umbrella term for tobacco use includes the use of cigarettes, cigars, e-cigs and chewing tobacco. While tobacco causes adverse health consequences, it also has been a unifying factor for change in public health. While the tobacco industries targets specific populations, public health specifically targets smokers, possible smokers, and the public to influence cessation, policies and education.
Every year cigarette smoking is responsible for 500,000 premature deaths (Nugel), you do not want to be just another statistic, do you? America’s first cash crop was tobacco. That means that tobacco has been around for a really long time. It was not until 1865, though, that cigarettes were sold commercially. They were sold to soldiers at the end of the Civil War (Dowshen). From then, cigarettes spread like wildfire, and it was not until 1964 that anyone made a stand about the negative effects of tobacco and cigarettes. People start smoking for all different reasons, some to fit in and some to “escape”. Regardless, it is a horrible habit. 3900 children will try their first cigarette today. Amongst adults who currently smoke, 68% of them began at age 18 or younger, and 85% at 21 or younger (American Lung Association). And of all those people, 70% say if they were given another chance they would never have picked up that first cigarette (Tobacco Free Maine). Smoking is responsible for 1 and 5 deaths in the united states, and is the number one preventable cause of death (NLH). Smoking burns and there is no doubt about that, but before one picks up that cigarette, understand the negative effects on not only oneself, but others affected by ones poor choices, like second-hand smoke. Because of smoking cigarettes, many types of cancer, decrease of life quality, and negative health effects have become all too common in the world today.
Smoking can cause many lung and heart diseases as well as many forms of cancer.
Some actions should be taken on tobacco products because the risk of getting cancer is high. People vape everywhere in today’s society, blowing a massive amount of smoke that lingers in the air and could cause people nearby to cough or even children near it to cough. There needs to be a policy to ban cigarettes, it kills the smoker, in addition, it could kill the person exposed to the smoke from cigarettes. “The cigarette is also a defective product, meaning not just dangerous but unreasonably dangerous, killing half its long-term users” (Proctor). Cigarettes are not healthy in any way making it a defective product, it mainly kills the smoker rather than helping them.
It is clear that smoking hurts people’s health and poisons the people around them. A ban on smoking in public would provide the environment nonsmoker, decrease cancer or others health problem, and it also will reduce a number of young people influence in society.
Cigarette smoking is very harmful for both smoker, non- smokers and the environment. People who smoke in just show how inconsiderate they are towards others. Even the people who do not smoke in public places are selfish. They do not consider the affect smoking might have on them and how that will affect their family and the environment. Cigarettes cause hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths each year and that is why cigarettes need to be made illegal.
This problem, which plagues all Americans, should have action taken on a local scale to help protect the health of the public. The Ames City Council is in the process of debating a city ordanince which whould ban smoking in all public places, with the exception of those designated as "smokng areas". A public place shall be defined by Subsection 142B.1(3) Code of IowaAmes City Council, Current Odrances, http://www.city.ames.ia.us/Whatsnew/smokingban.htm).
Since the 1960s, when cigarettes were believed unhealthy, there has been continuous effort to educate people on the catastrophic effects of smoking. It appears that one cannot go a day without hearing about how cigarettes are harmful. Yet, commercials and warning labels are not sufficient to shelter people from the danger. One solution in the United States could be that the government could establish an indoor smoking ban on all tobacco products including electronic cigarettes and vapor pens. A rule like will benefit to help stop secondhand smoke from harming others, non-smokers won’t have to endure the irritation of indoor
“The unfortunate thing about this world is that good habits are so much easier to give up than bad ones” (Somerset Maugham). Almost everyone has good and bad habits, but the bad ones can lead to addictions. When it comes to tobacco addiction, it is a habit that leads to different diseases and causes death. Tobacco should be illegal. The American Lung Association states “There are approximately 600 ingredients in cigarettes” (What's in a Cigarette?
...tection against getting lung cancer is to never start smoking. Don’t be a statistic like my grandfather, stay away from cigarettes – it’s a matter of life and death.
Smelling like cigarettes isn 't as big of a deal as having our lungs collapse when breathing it. Another thing public smokers don’t take into consideration, are the people with asthma. Millions of people around the world suffer from asthma, a respiratory state in which the airways become inflamed to a point so narrow that the air traveling into the lungs become almost unreachable. So when smokers decide to spark a cancer stick around a pedestrian, they aren 't thinking of the person next to them or in what way the cigarette smoke polluting the air is going to affect them. What if the smoker was smoking next to a person with asthma? Well, the cigarette smoke can inflame the lungs, an already inflamed airway and that cause an asthma attack. All in all, people who smoke shouldn’t need to be aware of anyone 's condition to consider weather or not to smoke when in public. There are hundreds of designated smoking places to go to when that urge comes knocking and the people who don’t smoke shouldn’t need to hold their breath whenever they pass someone who is
One of the biggest problems that people are faced with on a day-to-day basis is cigarette smoke. The sole cause for 480,000 deaths each year just in the United States is accredit to cigarettes(CDC). For a lot of the smokers the habit of smoking happens to assist them when under stress and dealing with issues that are unmanageable. Some smoke to appeal to their peers or simply because it “feels good.” Smoking one cigarette can lead to a major addiction. The effects of smoking hurt oneself and those amongst us. Smoking Kills as the ad portrays this revolver and cigarettes as the bullets, and also lists the side effects of smoking. If people do not want to be those 400,000 people who die from lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, heart attack, and others, then they should stop smoking cigarettes or never smoke. Moreover, if people do not want their family members or friends die because of smoking air, they should stop smoking. Not only because of those reasons, if people refer to the expensive price of cigarettes and medicine, they should quit smoking because it is not worth it. It is never too late to improve smokers’ health by quitting cigarettes. Stop smoking can help people live longer and healthier. When smokers quit smoking, the rate of decline in lung function will
Those opposing a smoking ban say that freedom of choice would be affected by such legislation. Some people against a ban say that smoking bans damage business. A smoking ban could lead to a significant fall in earnings from bars, restaurants and casinos. Another argument is that the smoker has a basic human right to smoke in public places, and the ban is a limitation for smokers’ rights. Businesses, smokers, publicans, tobacco industries, stars, and some of the non-smokers oppose public smoking ban. Smokers light a cigarette because they need to smoke, not because they want it, because nicotine is physically addictive. Therefore, some smokers think that the public smoking ban is oppressiveness. They see the ban as a treatment to smokers as second-class citizens. Smokers agree that the smoking ban benefits the world, but cannot support the ban, because effects of nicotine obstruct them.
