Smoking is the act of inhaling thousands of lethal chemicals. A cigarette contains a huge number of carcinogens. Smoking is an addiction that develops into a habit. Once you puff your first cigarette, you are on the deadly track. Smoking dangers range from serious diseases to mortality. Lung cancer, COPD, asthma, cardiovascular diseases, are all caused by smoking.

Smoking in Lebanon is a norm. Lebanese are known for their smoking habits. Smoking in Lebanon is represented in all forms including cigarettes, pipes, hookahs, etc. Also, smoking in
Lebanon is not constricted to a certain age or gender. Whether it is a boy, a girl, an elderly, a teenager, everyone in Lebanon smokes. Moreover, smoking in closed and public areas in

Although many disagree, smoking in Lebanon is a dangerous issue causing hundreds of deaths and should be outlawed.

Smoking in Lebanon should be forbidden in all its forms and in all public and private places. Smoking causes many respiratory diseases including asthma, COPD, and pneumonia.
These respiratory diseases are not easily treated and sometimes lead to immediate deaths.
Moreover, smoking increases the risk of high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, heart attacks, arrhythmias, and heart failure. The chemicals in cigarettes including tobacco impair people’s normal heart activities. According to National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, “The chemicals in tobacco smoke harm your blood cells. They also can damage the function of your heart and the structure and function of your blood vessels.”

Furthermore, smoking causes multiple types of cancer. Containing over 50 different carcinogens, cigarettes may lead to lung, colon, rectum, cervix, throat, kidney, bladder, pancreas, mouth, stomach, and liver cancers.
