Is smokeless tobacco a safe alternative to smoking? Is smokeless tobacco a safe alternative to smoking? That’s the question going through millions of people’s heads who are wanting to stop smoking but not get addicted to smokeless tobacco. So I’m going to help you out and tell you about it first I’m going to tell you how less harmful smokeless tobacco is, next we’re going to talk about the risks in smoking cigarettes, lastly we’ll talk about some of the safer alternatives to all tobacco products. First we’re going to talk about how less harmful smokeless tobacco is for you than smoking. Smokeless tobacco is 98% less harmful for you than smoking is. According to the Institute of Medicine they have discovered that products such as Swedish Snus may have no health risks at all. Oral cancer in Sweden is on the decline with this new snus product. Nicotine is not harmful it’s just addictive so we are trying to find alternatives for it. Though only ten percent of smokers actually quit after using these because they only put very small portions of nicotine in your body. Tobacco is an unregulated product so you have to be cautious when using it.
