Similarities Between Judaism, Christianity And Islam

The historical connections with Judaism, Christianity and Islam might have different names but all three religions share some of the same beliefs. One thing that all three of these religions have in common is they all believe in one God but they all follow different religious beliefs. “All three faiths emphasize their special covenant with God, for Judaism through Moses, Christianity through Jesus, and Islam through Muhammad” (John, 2016). Despite all religions have there differences Islam valued the different prophets that Christianity and Judaism. All three are related with each other are beliefs of the Islam religion. Allah has the meaning of God, Muhammad is one of the last prophets that was picked out from Allah, and Qur’an is said to be the book from heaven ( Brian,S, 2016). The Quran a holy book that Muslims believe it it has the cherish word of Allah it was used by Muhammad the prophet this Quran is written in Arabic. Veil are sometimes confused as a form of traditional religious value. They think that a women only wear a veil because she is religious. Matter affect, “In most Muslim countries, whether to wear a hair covering, a more complete veil, or no hair covering at all is a personal choice” (Ali-Karamali, 2008). There are many women who are religious who also wear veil but not because their religion requires it. It is more of a cultural tradition that women decide to wear veils. In my religion which is Catholic I have noticed that older women use veils when they come into church usually the color veil is black. My mother also told me that veils are also used when a woman's husband had died it is just another way to show that you are widow. Ali- Karamali brings up a really important point in the book where a teacher asks the class to describe a picture of a nun. They described her as “pure”, “faithful to god” but as soon as the teacher replaces the picture with a middle eastern women who is wearing a hijab they describe her as, “backwards,” and “Stupid” (Ali- Karamali, 2008, pg 130). If you put it into thought the nun and the middle eastern women are both wearing the same thing which is a veil. Why is it that people only think it is correct for a nun to wear it but it is stupid for a Muslim to wear it ? I think that since people think that these Muslim women
