Technology in schools should be allowed!!! Technology should be used in school classrooms because students can connect with students. Technology can be used as electronic textbooks , video players, graphing calculators and photo editors. Technology needs to be allowed in schools lastly but not leastly because students need them for emergency purposes.
My first reason why Technology should be used in schools for classroom purposes is phones can be used to poll students in class and send homework reminders. “ We think schools should be preparing students for the real world and in the real world people use phones. ” (Koebler 1) This quote relates to my reason, because it's defending why technology should be used in school. My second supporting detail is technology in schools using different websites.
Another reason why technology should be used for classroom purposes is students can create guides , surveys , questionnaires , community blogs and class websites. “Having websites where students can post their ideas on using a concept innovatively can be a great idea.” (Ramanan 1) This quote relates to my reason, because it's basically saying technology is a great idea to have in schools for classroom purposes. This quotes also supports my position because it's not saying technology is a bad thing. My third supporting

Twitter in the classroom could be used in a good way teachers can use twitter to summarize major political texts within twitter's imposed character limits. “Twitter can be used as an additional way to let students know if there's some last minute news like due dates.” (Lytle 1) This quote supports my second reason because it can connect students together if they have a project or speech due soon. This quote supports my position on technology being in schools because it gives another way how technology can be used for the better. My other supporting reason for connecting with other students
Counterargument: Using technology can be helpful for when kids cannot meet up with each other. In Ben Johnson’s article ‘Too Much Technology and Not Enough Learning?” he does point out “Of course, if geographically disparate groups of students need to collaborate, technology certainly can help, but even still it can never fully replace face-to-face interaction”.
Technology is very beneficial to children in school because it makes education more entertaining, allows kids to learn outside of school, and provides low-cost alternatives to poor families that are just as good as going to school.
Almost everyone attends a school at one time in their life, whether the classroom includes technology or not. Research shows that technology isn’t used as often as one might think. The article, “High Access and Low Use of Technology in High School Classrooms” illustrates the use of technology by stating that only one in ten elementary and middle school teachers are daily users of computers (Cuban, Kirkpatrick, Peck). Most schools now have classrooms that use technology throughout the entire class time and even at home to do homework. Although some people might agree with the use of technology in class, it is more harmful to the students than useful.
Why should phones be allowed in classroom? Phones should be allowed in classroom because they help in a lot of ways. Also our phones are with us 24/7. We don’t just use it for texting people or calling or on social media. They should be allowed in class because they keep us quiet at times. We get to listen to music while doing our work. Phones are in our everyday life.
Cell phones, they are used everywhere. But should they be used in schools? There are many opinions on the topic should cell phones be used in schools. My opinion is Yes cell phones should be used in school. Why? well they are used in so many good ways such as doing work on the phones. Meanwhile there are many ways they can used in a bad way such as using them to go on social media during class. And this is why I think cell phones should be used in school.
Technology is seen as a new, innovative device that helps out with our regular lives to some, but to others it is seen as a device that simply distracts from the simplicity of life. A large controversy going on right now is on whether or not technology should be incorporated more or less into our schools. Technology should definitely be incorporated more into our schools because it is a useful resource to the students, teachers, and administration. Technology is able to prepare our students for their future career, encourage our students to collaborate with others, and allows students/teachers/administration to share work and documents easily and quickly between each other. So, with all these great reasons, why shouldn’t we incorporate technology
As technology increases and develops in this century, the use of social media increases as well. Schools have begun adapting it, using it as their tool to inform students of any school related news. However, using it as a tool for learning is a different story. By using it as a tool, it can push you off your course with classes. Social media is something that is not needed at school grounds. Schools should not require social media use in classes.
Given the unquestionable results regarding the use of cell phones by students in school there should not be a ban on the cell phones in schools. This is because students can learn to enhance their learning from the technology such as the cell phone. Students will also become more independent in their work and more motivated to learn. Students like being permitted to making their own choices.
Cell phones have only been in the picture for a short amount of time compared to how long people have been going to school but cell phones are everywhere now and make it difficult for schools to come up with what to do. As many believe they are a distraction and can be used for cheating and other negative stuff. There are also people that are highly in favor of having cellphones as they can be helpful with all the tools they provide and people who are not and it 's all about who makes a better argument. Cell phones used to just have communication abilities but that is far gone now you have the abilities to use apps and different functions that fit nicely into a school environment. Cell phones should be allowed in the classroom as cell phones provide positive benefits and are a helpful tool in learning.
It’s not a reasonable defense for using cell phones. You can spend time for your cell phones at home. I can say that students must always be busy in the classroom, they all have their works to do instead of connecting with peers in other countries. Why don’t they use their own time to do that? That skill doesn’t need teachers to teach you how, but teachers are really necessary for explaining other lessons. As I know, today’s children probably don’t need teachers for their digital devices, most of them learn by themselves.
Schools should allow cell phones in schools for children's protection and safety. Secondly, cell phones can keep you connected with your buddies. Instead of screaming, and yelling in the halls to ask your buddy for books, you can simply call them on your cell phone. Some students ask themselves, "If teachers are allowed to use cell phones in class?"... ...
The average American spends over 27 hours on the internet a week. Technology should be used in moderation. We use it to an unnecessary extent. Technology can be very distracting. Students use this technology provided by the schools for cheating, and playing games.
Do you ever think about how much technology has changed the way we work, learn, play, and even think? Technology is a major beneficiary to society; especially in the classroom where we get the opportunity to learn and grow. In recent years, schools have begun implementing tablets and other devices in the classroom to better student’s education. The use of technology in the classroom provides more of a personalized learning experience and gives students a widespread availability to engage in learning. Technology is necessary in today’s modern globe, it is basically “the pen and paper of our time and the lens through which we experience much of our world” (Warlick, 2013). Technology is not just considered the “internet”, it is so much greater than that. Overall, it enhances the quality of education and engages students deeper than ever before. With all the significant gains, why would people argue that technology hinders students more than it helps? Critics may try to repute the use of technology in the classroom but I believe what really matters “is the way we use it, the context that we use it in, and the learners who we use it for” (Chong, 2012).
Cell phones should not be allowed in school because children focus more on the phone than schoolwork, it creates more drama, and it promotes cheating. Cell phones should not be allowed in schools because kids are always wondering what their friends are doing and what is happening outside of school. If they have access to their phones all day, then they will be glued to them. Phones are more entertaining than a teacher lecturing at the front of the class. Most students will start to zone out, or fall asleep, when a teacher starts a lesson.
With the blooming development of science and technology, mobile phones have become an indispensable part of life. The increasing number of teenagers who use a cell phone in schools which disrupts classrooms orders has become a major concern. However, mobile phones should not be banned in schools. Actually, it is not necessary to ban mobile phones in schools. Additionally, using mobile phones in schools has some positive influences. Furthermore, it is likewise a human right for students.
