Education is really important for our country. If a hard working student is failing in any class, something should be changed at the school and/or class. In my opinion one thing that could be changed to schools is school uniforms. Kids might get distracted from their education if they wear clothes from their selection, because they would be more worried about their clothes and not their education. Also, kids won’t get bullied if they are wearing school uniforms, due to all the kids (including bullies) wearing the same thing. Should school uniforms be added or taken away from schools?
If kids go to a school with school uniforms it would most likely reduce bullying. This shows that parents can save money on their kids clothes. This means parents can spend their leftover money on the students pencils, highlighter, pens, binders, etc. According to NAESP.com, it says “over 90% of US school leaders believe school uniform or formal dress code policies "eliminate wardrobe battles with kids," make it "easier to get kids ready in the morning," and create a "time saving in the morning”. In my opinion, the extra time they use they can use it by maybe getting a little bit of homework done that they didn’t get to the night before. As a student in a public school system that wears uniforms, I can confidently say that students still bully other students about their clothes. It is not possible to completely eliminate bullying in schools by changing what students are wearing because you will always be able to tell the difference between the “haves and the have-nots”. Some students that have more money still wear designer and name brand clothes to school while the not so fortunate children do not. There is always going to be that one group in schools that think they are better than others and will try to bring them down just because they don’t have a ton of money to buy designer clothes. This makes is utterly impossible to try to close the financial gap between students.
School uniforms positively affects public schools because it is for the benefits of the stu-dents' lives as well as those who play a major role in their lives. It will also make the school look more professional by having the students' behavior reflect from the uniform, which are stable. One of the reasons schools should have uniforms is because families could save money. An average cost of a uniform in JC penny for one student a year is about three hundred dollars . A normal family spends over five hundred to thousand dollars for clothing for a student. If public schools have uniforms students wouldn’t feel different which would help them feel better and concentrate in their lessons.
