Should School Uniforms Be Taken Away From Schools

Education is really important for our country. If a hard working student is failing in any class, something should be changed at the school and/or class. In my opinion one thing that could be changed to schools is school uniforms. Kids might get distracted from their education if they wear clothes from their selection, because they would be more worried about their clothes and not their education. Also, kids won’t get bullied if they are wearing school uniforms, due to all the kids (including bullies) wearing the same thing. Should school uniforms be added or taken away from schools?

If kids go to a school with school uniforms it would most likely reduce bullying. At www.naesp.org, it says “In a 2013 survey by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and uniform manufacturer Lands' End, 86% of school leaders said uniforms make "a significant, positive impact on peer pressure," and 64% said uniforms reduce bullying”. At NAESP.com, it says “ Of the school leaders surveyed with a uniform or formal dress code policy in place, 77 percent estimated the average cost of school uniforms per child, per year, was $150 or less. This shows that parents can save money on their kids clothes. This means parents can spend their leftover money on the students pencils, highlighter, pens, binders, etc. According to NAESP.com, it says “over 90% of US school leaders believe school uniform or formal dress code policies "eliminate wardrobe battles with kids," make it "easier to get kids ready in the morning," and create a "time saving in the morning”. In my opinion, the extra time they use they can use it by maybe getting a little bit of homework done that they didn’t get to the night before. This shows students can get more sleep in the morning and with more sleep they will be more energized for school. School uniforms can save parents money and save students
