Should Marijuana be Legalized? What is wrong with marijuana? What is your opinion on legalizing marijuana, would it be a good idea? What kind of effects would it have on the U.S? First, people think marijuana is a bad drug and is used by delinquents. Studies show that marijuana is less harmful and addictive than alcohol, prescription drugs, and tobacco. The issue here is should marijuana be legalized or should it not be legalized. People don't want a substance such as marijuana to be supported, because of their own reasons for example “ it could led to stronger drugs,” or “cancer patients and people treated with anorexia can just use maronal.” They also believe it could increase crime and hurt the economy but, in reality it could help boost the economy and reduce crime rate. In the U.S today I believe marijuana should be legalized for all the positive effects it could have on the U.S, weather it's for people who medically need it or even just want it to get through their day. Others believe marijuana could potentially help but, at the same time could also have some negative effects such as being a gateway drug. But you never know unless you try and experiment marijuana also has a low addiction potential percentage. So should marijuana be legalized? Marijuana could possibly help the U.S start to repay the debt that they put themselves in today. Marijuana is also good for you the only way for marijuana to harm you is the way you decide to smoke it and the only bad way for you to smoke marijuana is with tobacco. So my response is legalize marijuana or at least a test run to prove the positive effects marijuana will have on the U.S
