Marijuana also known as cannabis is a green plat that grows almost anywhere. Even though it carries a bad name for itself, it has many uses that can benefit our society today. Today, cannabis can be eaten, smoked, or used to make clothes and other resources. Cannabis can be sold in stores to create revenue for the state, it can also help the people medically. There are many uses for marijuana that can benefit our society today for the better, either economically, socially and medically. Marijuana can be used as a source of income for our society. Each state that has legalized marijuana for recreational uses has increased revenue from taxing the product itself. The social benefits are happier people. Happier people means less issues between people in general. People tend to get along better when they are happy and a side effect of marijuana is euphoria. Euphoria is the epitome of happiness and that in itself is a great benefit to our society. People “high” on marijuana typically are calmer and more secluded than people “sober”. Also people tend to smoke marijuana in their homes and not in public which decreases DWI’s and other public consequences for doing “Drugs”.
