No More Dress Codes Most students disagree with dress codes. What’s wrong with expressing yourself? Students get dress coded every day. And most teachers don’t catch everybody. This situation is cruel and aggravating. Adults try to tell us to be ourselves and love ourselves but how can you do that when you can’t express yourself. Dress codes should be abolished because it would give students a better chance on finding themselves. How would you feel if you got dress coded and had to change for a ridiculous reason and you see other people out of dress code too? It makes me so annoyed when I see this. Sometimes teachers don’t dress code someone because they like them, but don’t they still need to follow the rules? How do they expect us to find what we want to do if we are restricted to try new styles. When teachers restrict our clothes they restrict our style. Expressing yourself at a young age is very important. It helps us get an idea of what we want to do when we're older, and if we get restricted to do this how can we find what we love. If we get narrowed down while growing up at school we will be so lost in the real world. We will have to figure out our style in the real world on our own, which may be lot harder. Style and fashion isn’t as important to some people as it is to others but it helps you feel more independent, confident, and secure. And most students lack that.
