Every new school year, every student has certain goals that they wish to accomplish by the end of the year. Setting goals throughout the school year are a good way to track where one started at the beginning of the year, and ended at the end of the year. Senior year goals are by far the most important. Students are in their last year of highschool, and on their way to college. This is the transfer from childhood to adulthood, it takes a huge amount of dedication, responsibility, and maturity to transfer. Staying focused during the last year of highschool is crucial ; it helps maintain focus for college, and it also helps in the college application process . In my case, my time period is over the course of my senior year. I created these goals based on personal standards and ethics. I hold myself to a high standard academically and athletically. These goals are based off of my past academic history and my high school sports career. By setting the bar high it gives me something to strive for my senior year. I don’t take failure lightly, whether it be competitive sports, academic challenges, or friendly sports competitions; I like to perform admirably, and I like to be right. The goals that I’ve recorded display these characteristics perfectly. Goals should be personalized to the individual that is trying to accomplish them. Organizations, groups and places of employment usually have a set of expectations or goals that are the same for everyone. These are important; however, individual goals should be paramount for the individual. The sense of self-accomplishment is one of the greatest feelings that you can create for yourself. Even creating small goals and accomplishing them can improve your self perspective dramatically.
