When selecting a self-administered consequence to increase a desired behavior it is best to select a small, easy-to deliverer a consequence that is easily to be delivered (Cooper, Heron, Heward, 2007). I have been working on a diet plan recently and now I would like to increase my desired behavior by using self administering. I will use self administering with increasing my exercise through walking 2 miles a day. I will keep track daily by using the app RunKeeper. RunKeeper also allows you to post to Facebook every time you run or walk. This will also help me with accountability because it says the distance walk and the time it took to complete the 2 mile. If I complete the two mile I have ask for my boyfriend to help. If I complete the 2 mile walk he gives me a great job speech and $5 towards new clothes or shoes. …show more content…

Bootleg reinforcement could interfere with my progress. My boyfriend and I have an agreement that I will not purchase any new clothes or shoes during the month. I will be given my daily reward of $5 towards the clothes or shoes of my choice when the month is over. This will also allow me to save extra money because I will not be allowed to go out shopping for this reward unless I meet my daily walking requirements. If I receive 25 days out of 30 day calendar days then I get $125. I’m also allowed to use my own personal money because I have met my personal performance award for the month. If I do not reach the 25 day goal then the money I have earned rolls over to the next 30 day cycle and the cycle starts
