Many communities around the world face health risks from airpollution. The San Diego/ US–Mexico border crossing at the San Ysidro Port of Entry is the world's busiest international land border crossing. San Ysidro is a community located in California that is adjacent to the border crossing. Being close to the international border may result in exposure to pollution from lines of idling vehicles at the Ports of Entry, trade-related commercial trucks, and transport of pollutants from Mexico.
