3 Strengths
Determination -- I am a determined person. When I want to follow my desire of achieving my goal, I have no hesitation. I see many obstacles along the path, but determination is the key to success. I have seen many of my classmates changed their major from Accounting to other business related field due to the hardships in Accounting classes. I as well gone through the same experiences as others, but I am determined to stay on track of my goal to be a CPA. Through Audit class (Acctg431), we are provided with access through audit materials in Roger CPA Review for free of charge. By attending class to learn and getting access to additional materials of Roger CPA, SDSU gives me extra motive to take this opportunity to pass an audit section …show more content…

All requires critical thinking, as well as tremendous efforts. SDSU allows me to improve every skills needed to be success, ranging from being innovative to acquiring analytical skill. For example, Cost Management class allowed me to be innovative. During ERPSim game, it requires every team to innovate unique ideas of what strategy to use, which product mix to sell, and how to diversify ourselves from other group competitors. By benchmarking our team result to competitors, evaluating market demand, and analyzing and interpreting complex quantitative information, it allowed me and my team to succeed in ranking top 3 in the class. Moreover, SDSU gave me opportunities outside the classroom to enhance my analytical skill by participating in PwC case competition, ALFPA case competition, and SAS internal audit committee. Through case competitions and internal audit committee, I and my team are required to assess the impact of the risks and develop a solution to the problems. In fact, my internship at KPMG (Thailand) as a Risk Advisory Intern allowed me explore the real business world problem. I used to believe that I am no better than others. By acknowledging that some people around me had received many opportunity in leadership positions and internships, it makes me feel behind from others. I want to be like them, but I don’t believe that I have that ability. SDSU allowed me to do internship at KPMG (Thailand) effectively. I was convinced that I wouldn’t be able to do the assigned work like other interns. To be Risk Advisory Intern, it requires more than basic accounting knowledge and analytical skill. Despite an underestimation of myself, I was able to apply the materials from Accounting Information Systems (Acctg333) class effectively while assisting my mentor to conduct risk assessment. Although SDSU allows me to prove to myself that I am not inferior to others, but an underestimation of myself is still my weakness. I tend to compare myself to others, but that is the motive for me to strive for better. At SDSU, I and my team are in the process of forming a student organization, ASCEND. I will continue to change my weakness into my strength by proving that I have an ability to contribute to the
