Russian ballet is Russian, although it technically didn’t even originate in Russia. Russia did make a big contribution of course to the technique and has made it known all over the world. Russian ballets attract some of the biggest crowds every year. Visitors come into the country to see if all the talk about Russian ballets are actually true. They soon find out it is, and they enjoy themselves. There are numbers of Russian ballet companies that run today like the Imperial Russian Ballet, Kremlin Ballet and Perm Ballet. There are hundreds of dance schools that teach it all over the world. There are also thousands of dancers, companies, and performances that have come from Russia. He had already experienced some local fame the year before, when he presented a glorious season of art and opera music. He was given the opportunity to come back and plan a program of opera and ballet, and of course he took it. Ballet Russes traveled to Monte Carlo, from being located at the Theatre Mogador and also the Theatre du Chatelet. But there’s no place like home, they returned to Paris in 1910. The next year they made a huge debut in London. All of the original members came from the St. Petersburg Imperial Ballet so they were well trained and they all knew each other.It was a company of 13 high standard dancers. The company got the blessing to have great choreographers come and work. These choreographers include Michel Folkine, Bronislava Nijinska, Leonide Massine, Vaslac Nijinsky, Ayoung George, and Marius Petipa. His company became one fo the most influential ballet companies of the 20th century, simply because of the great collaborations between contemporary choreographers, composers, and dancers. The methods of it came from St. Peterburg Imperial ballet that’s mention throughout this paper. She perfected the style of teaching balletand worked it into an understandable syllabus. Her book, “Fundamentals of the Classical Dance” is still today a a great value to anyone teaching or learning Vagonova technique. It is very well one of the most popular techniques of ballet and is considered one of the highest. Vagonova is based on the one principle of displaying the course of one grand pas de deux. The students are to make this their target or goal. The reason being that when students graduate they perform a grand pas de deux. Although Vagonova is a ballet, students are expected to have a class with varieties of dance. Such as folk, modern, and usic. They are expected to of course to learn and remember the terminology like with sny kind of dance. They are often put into dance history to learn who created what. They do this to not just have them know what theyre dancing, but to also know wher everything originated from. The terminology from Vagonova differs from other techniques.
