Reflective Writing
Writing 121 has become a very useful class for me. I have completed many writing assignments with different writing styles. I am very thankful for this class because I have not just learned general ways of writing, but it has also shown me where I have grown and how I can improve. Over the years writing has always been a challenge for me. This class has taught me a lifelong lesson of how to use my writing in my everyday life and throughout my future.

As to what I have accomplished this term, I have completed twenty-two writing assignments. Most of these assignments were challenging to me at first, but now I know different styles of writing, how to write them effectively, and what is expected of me as a writer. The three main writing styles we covered as a class were how to write a formal proposal, personal reflection, and an academic inquiry. At first I found writing difficult, but in time I realized that effective writing can only come through experience and much practice. As a student, I have learned that to achieve what is expected as a writer can come best by setting goals and reading other similar work.

It is always fun to look back in your life and see what you have accomplished. What good is completing something if you did not learn anything? Through English Composition, I …show more content…

This is fun because I have never created an academic-level inquiry question before. Coming up with an academic-level inquiry question from the book we read seemed difficult at first. But after Google-ing the inquiry ideas I had and looking for information through Library databases, I learned some good steps in creating a good academic-level inquiry question. At first I came up with inadequate questions. In time and through much research, I learn what it takes to find articles on well developed information to support academic-level inquiry
