Reflective Essay: Changing My Writing Style

Synthesis Essay As a writer, my overall writing style has changed greatly over the years. With each paper being a trial and error experience for me each one has a different outlook and method of getting my point across to the reader. With each paper I’m constantly trying to make each one better than the last, by improving and evolving the type of tone, imagery, and even though the type of diction I use in each of my papers stays the same, that doesn’t mean the way in which I present and use it hasn’t and with that in mine it's clear that my writing style has in fact changed over the years. For starters, when it comes to the type of tone I use its clear to see that I always rely on is a factual one. However, the way in which I establish that tone has improved greatly over the years, which in turn shows that my writing style has in fact changes and improved over the years. To elaborate, when it came to creating a factual tone in my papers during my freshman year of high school the whole concept of creating such a tone was foreign to me so when it came to the tone I was trying to establish it wasn’t as clear as it is now. Without that emotion my ability to grab my audience’s attention weakens. However, as time has past I’ve learned how to use imagery properly as well as how to get my readers to feel the emotions I’m trying to convey in my papers thus, helping me greatly in grabbing the audience’s attention.
