As a returning Junior Achievement student in their final year of high school, I feel that I’m qualified to represent GE Mississauga at this year’s annual Governor’s Dinner, per the following reasons. First, as a senior student looking to enter University in Fall 2017, I think it’s prudent to develop connections with those who can help propel your career. The Governor’s Dinner is a perfect opportunity to meet with key business directors in established firms to gain the relationships required to attain a job beyond my educational endeavours. All in all, the Governor’s Dinner is a beneficial event to promote yourself to firms who are looking for people like myself. Next, the Governor’s Dinner will be an experience that I’ll cherish for
Kathy Harrison starts her personal story happily married to her childhood sweet heart Bruce. Kathy was living a simple life in her rural Massachusetts community home as the loving mother of three smart, kind, well-adjusted boys Bruce Jr., Nathan, and Ben. With the natural transitions of family life and the changes that come with career and moving, she went back to work as a Head Start teacher. Her life up until the acceptance of that job had been sheltered an idyllic. Interacting in a world of potluck suppers, cocktail parties, and traditional families had nothing in common with the life she would choose after she became a Head Start teacher.
Washington’s Farewell Address was made an open letter of warning and guidance to the American citizens concerning their long-term happiness and safety. George Washington was a great American leader who voluntarily relinquished political powers and retired from public life, an act which itself was seen as unprecedented in the annals of global history since it was the major milestone to the establishment of the American Republican government (Gregg L. & Frazer 2012). The words of Washington’s Farewell are highly cherished in the American History. For instance, Justice John Marshall noted that, “Washington Farewell words are percepts to which US citizens can not too often recur.” This paper critically views the major points of George Washington’s “Farewell Address” such as The Preservation of the Union, The Danger of Factions, Religion and Morality, and America’s Role in the World considering contemporary government and including differing points of view.
It is a tremendous honor to be considered for membership in the most prestigious Honor Society available at Wapato High School. It is even more grand to be able to work towards enrollment in the Society side by side with such an astoundingly gifted group of young men and women. I am only being considered for potential membership in the National Honors Society because I have demonstrated an exemplary academic attitude, and have proven this through the grades I have attained during the years I have spent in the Wapato School District and the fondness amongst my teachers I have achieved. There are also other characteristics besides good scholarship I must fill for membership in the Society, those being services I have done to benefit others in the community, leadership positions I have held, and an original and interesting demonstration of
I am exceptionally grateful for this opportunity to possibly be a member of this very prestigious organization. Every day I work tremendously hard to be noticed by both other scholars and my teachers. Now that an opportunity has come, I am truly excited to demonstrate and live by the values of The National Junior Honors Society. I hope to further expose and show both my dedication and want to join arms with my community and my peers and I wish to continue to work with passion and fire to shape the world into a brighter place.
National Technical Honor society is a prestigious club. Having the opportunity to apply for this prestigious society had left one honored. Being in such a prestigious program will open many more doors, and give one more opportunity to succeed in the future. I feel that all the candidates for this prestigious program have the grades and are all capable of being part of this program, but I also feel that by describing my unique set of skills I can merit membership into National Technical Honor Society and be a beneficial member.
As a student at Northvale Public School, I have grown up with my older siblings being inducted into an organization called the National Junior Honor Society. I had seen all the hard work and dedication they put into their school work and activities just to get into this society, making me want to be just like them. Then a few weeks ago, I found a note on my desk in homeroom telling me that I had been nominated to be apart of this society. Through citizenship and character, leadership, and service, I intend on being inducted into the society I have heard so much about. Though it will take a lot of effort this school year, being a part of this society is a dream of mine that I will make sure to come true.
I am beyond honored to have been thought of as a candidate for the National Honors Society. It is something I have been working hard for ever since I was in middle school. The qualities one must have to be sought out for of NHS are of extreme importance to me, because this is such a grand opportunity.
The National Honor Society is a substantial organization that I believe allows students to help their community by volunteering to help those who are in need of any kind. As I see it, NHS allows students who strive and have signified excellence in their studies, have helped their community, and have shown outstanding leadership, to be recognized by their school and many others. If selected to this group, I would like to run for office to be able to remain involved in all aspects of the organization, introduce new members to the organization, help plan out the events we will do, and help out our school and community with these events. I would also help volunteer in the community service projects; since these types of projects do help us unite
I believe that in order to be a part of this program that I need to excel academically and demonstrate the characteristics that NJHS looks for. I should be chosen to be a member of this program because I display the characteristics required to be a part of NJHS. Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Citizenship, and Character are all things that I show and that I know I have. If I am chosen to be a part of this program, I promise to follow through as best as I can do. I will fulfill my duties as a member of NJHS and help others to the best of my
I believe that I would be a good representative for the National Junior Honor Society because I have great ideas and I am focused on making our community a better place. If I become a member I intend on holding fundraisers that can help people and animals who are in need. I think that holding campaigns for those less fortunate is very important because not only does it engage the public, but also it could be life changing for those in need. I also feel I would make a good representative because I am a straight A student and I am a hard worker. I work hard for what I want and I will not let anything get in my way. In my opinion, to be a member of the NJHS, one must possess certain qualities such as compassion, kindness, dedication, and motivation to make the world a better place, and I indeed have those qualities.
In conclusion, I believe that I can offer a wealth of expertise and experience in contributing towards the continued development of a cohesive, dynamic and collaborative school that focuses on offering outstanding world class learning opportunities for all. I consider myself to be a good role model to students and staff alike and I am committed to leading by example. This, combined with my drive, infectious optimism and commitment to playing a full role within the school beyond those duties set out, make me a strong candidate for the post.
Becoming an intrical part of the National Junior Honor Society would be a great privilege. NJHS established in 1929. From its conception, it has validated five guiding principles, which are; enthusiasm for scholarship, desire to render service, leadership, responsible citizenship, and development of character. Thus, I would not only like to join for the academic recognition, but to further develop and challenge myself within these areas. For many years, NJHS has paved a road to success for many alumni. Hopefully soon, I will be counted amongst them.
Now, what makes me a great addition to NJHS? I take school extremely seriously, and I’ve always taken an active role in my education. I continuously maintain my grades, never getting lower than a B. I strive to go beyond what is normal, even if I consider myself shy, I learned to power through. For example, in elementary when I ran for student council and had to read a speech in front of the school, even though I was anxious I managed
Thank you for considering me for induction into the James Monahan Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. I have been looking to join this society ever since I heard about it and have been trying my best so I can. I believe that I demonstrate the qualities of service, leadership, and character and would be a great addition to the National Junior Honor Society.
If I am selected as an Ambassador, I hope this role will afford me the opportunity to create connections between the Clemson and the ACPA community; both on a regional and national level. Moreover, I hope this experience will provide me networking opportunities with other students with career aspirations in the student affairs arena. I also envision this role providing me a platform to foster better communication between the students in my PhD program and the students in Clemson’s student affairs master’s program.
