For many years discrimination in the workplace has existed in United States, racial discrimination continues to be pervasive throughout the country. Workplace discrimination is detrimental to the health of the employees and creates an atmosphere of intolerance, that can affect job productivity and desire to work and fulfill the work quota. Racial discrimination before employment is also prevalent today. Researchers examined the level of racial discrimination in the United States labor market by randomly assigning identical résumés with black-sounding or white-sounding names and observing that white names were more favorable than black sound names.

Studies show that job satisfaction is lower when employees experience discrimination based on their race or language. However, discrimination not only affects the individual but also has a negative impact on all staff. The time spent in solving business problems could be better used to improve the racial problem in the workplace. The Department of Labor has to know that several studies have found that racial discrimination could cause psychological problems and higher levels of stress. These psychological problems include depression, less satisfaction in life and high levels of anxiety. Even high levels of stress has been reported to cause hospitalization. Racial discrimination could also cause hypertension, insomnia, headaches and chest pain along with other mental and physical problems. People who are not hired due to discrimination may react violently due to the anger of the situation. They feel inadequate and can harm those around them. There have been several reports of domestic violence and homicides due to discrimination.

I propose that educating and providing diversity and inclusion training for employees would be a good idea. It is important that all employees know what constitutes racial discrimination and can be anything from a malicious comment based on race, or comments that degrade another employee based on race. Not only does this make the training program more interesting and satisfying, but it will also allow workers to recognize and better inform discrimination and harassment when it actually happens.
Workers must also develop a program that also focuses on how to recognize and report discrimination and harassment.

Another solution, racism can be very negative for the development of a respectful educational environment for all. To decrease the likelihood of this problem in school, let us work to stop all this discrimination. Racism is often present for a long time, overcoming the challenge can be difficult; however, the participation of parents and the community in the life of the school is an essential component of education against racism. Schools must provide information to parents and community members about their rights and responsibilities in relation to
