Immigration in canada is very beneficial for the country. Canada is an expanding country. Everyday jobs are created and, many jobs are seeking hirement. There are not enough working Canadians to do all these jobs, and some jobs Canadians just simply don’t want to do. The population prism for Canada is almost upside down with many more elderly people than younger people. There is a way to fix both these problems. Immigration fills open jobs and helps Canada with its population problems. The Canadian government has complete control over who immigrates to Canada. They select people by certain age groups, schooling, and job experience, to immigrate to Canada. The Canadian government brings in many younger immigrants to try and turn the population prism back the right way.

There are not enough working Canadians to pay taxes and take care of the elderly people in Canada. By bringing more immigrants that are younger into Canada, we will be able to help and fix the population prism. Canada’s job market is constantly growing and needing employees to do these jobs. By 2035 25% of Canadians will be over the age of 65. Canada will need to bring 350 000 immigrants into canada by then. It is very important that Canada lets people immigrate, that will make a positive change in Canada. Canada's government selects 250 000 immigrants each year to come to Canada, based on their age and work skills. They also select people based on how well they speak english or french.
