Apart from those skills stated above, CFA projects thought me another important skill which is problem solving. Because of different projects that I worked on, I am good in problem solving. For example, when I was working on a goal called “Capstone”, I was able to develop my problem solving skill. When I was working on this goal, I was required to find a communication related problem that is in my workplace. Based on my observation, I find out that at Kepler there is language barrier problem. Through a problem solving strategy called Design Thinking, I was able to find a best solution to this problem. This is because wherever we are we face social problems or employment problems. So having this skill is something that leads a company to success. Let take an example of a company that is facing the problem of less customers. If the company has someone who has problem solving skill, it will be easy for it to overcome the situation. Again that person can be promoted to a higher level because of what he did. Problem solving skill is also important in conflict management. We all know that when people live together, most of time they encounter different types of conflict. So when there is someone who is good in problem solving, the conflict can be solved easily. Let us take another example of where this skill is important at workplace specifically at Kepler. In fact, Challenge Based Learning was simple for someone who had problem solving skill. The person knew the type of questions to ask people so as to get a full understanding of the problem. He knew also what to base on while confirming a solution to be best. The skill is also important to entrepreneurs because it helps them to overcome challenges that might arise in their businesses. If the business faces such problem, the owner does not need to hire another person to solve the problem. He is there to handle the problem on his own. Since I was pursuing my bachelor’s degree of art in communication with concentration in business, I got a chance to learn different strategies that marketers use in order to attract the attention of customers and to raise awareness of their companies. One of those skills is to be able to create media that advertise the important of products or services. I got a chance to develop this skill when I was working on two projects called “Show and Tell” and “That’s Wrap” from the goal called “Create Multimedia”. When I was working on this project, I was required to advertise Acme Widget Wooden Toys. In order to make sure that customers understand the importance of wooden toys, I made a video, an audio, pictures and text messages that talk about the important of Acme Widget toys. From that experience, I learned that in order to attract customers, marketers should focus on the add values of their products or services. I also learned that it is better to use different methodology since customers have different preferences. Another project that helped me to develop my marketing skills is “Investigate the History of Advertisement and Target Market” from the goal called “Advertise a product or service”.
