Pre-production starts off with ideas and concept of everyone in the project. This includes character concept designs and environment concept designs. They will also create a rough head start of the storyline as well. The script writers will first start off by writing the script, or screenplay, to arrange and finalize how the storyline would go. The script consists of how the story will be shown as an animation. This includes indicating the type of shots that visualizes a scene. Most of the time, everyone in the project would read-through the script to get a rough idea of how the animation would look like. The finalized script will finally be acting as a blueprint to the storyboard When the screen play is finalized, it then is drawn onto the storyboard. It is drawn based on the specifics of the screen play in order as follows. This will give a more intricate idea of scenes, background settings, character interactions and shots through drawings. The scenes on the storyboard will also be given a scene number. Any scene added and removed, the scene number is still unchanged, to provide consistency. This will help out the timing of the scenes and help animators and post-production editors to adjust the scenes according to the timing. They also add in sound effects, along with simple voice-overs, and rough soundtracks. This will be considered as a rough idea as to how the animation will look like at the end of the project. And after various edits from each part of the pre-production, the team can finally move on to production, where every asset is created
