Concept art is initially a form of illustration that is used within game development; concept art conveys an idea before it is added to the project. Game developers use concept artists exclusively in order to perform a specific tasks, The most common types of concept art within game development is usually science fiction or fantasy, but due to how games have evolved, it is now possible to find concept art on any theme or topic imaginable. Initially concept art is used to sell an idea to a company before the game is actually developed or goes into production. The game production pipeline consists of four phases. The first phase is the concept, the genesis of all the games that are available are a simple concept or idea. The original concept is just a basic initial idea of what the game can be about. The game’s conception can start as a simple idea of either wanting to make a follow up or sequel to an existing game title. The second phase is the pre-production phase; this step is done in the game development process and includes a varied number of staff, including producers, designers, programmers, artists and writers. Together working as a team a comprehensive design document is created a prominent aspect of the pre-production phase incorporates the designers overall blueprint of how the game would be played, this is where the designers and in some cases the programmers must decide on what happens in each screen. After the pre-production phase is completed and the overall blueprint has been finalized, the development of the game enters the third phase. The third phase is much larger and consists of a bigger group of people, the artists that work within this phase work on building the game how the user will see it. In 1977, Miyamoto started as a video game artist. Video game artists fabricate the graphics of the game, such as characters, objects, surface textures, clothing, props, user interface components, environment, animation, 3D, 2D, cut scenes and more. They work with other team members to make the vision of the game come to life. They create and draw things digitally or by hand. They draw constantly and create portfolios of their work. They major in visual arts. Options include a bachelor of design in digital studio, a bachelor of arts, and a bachelor of fine arts. An artist must be able to work effectively with other artists and/or without other artists, be creative and/or imaginative, have attention to detail, have strong observation skills, and have good communication skills. Artists need to also receive feedback from QA Testers and apply it to the game. Death is a metaphysical concept that is abstract and theoretical in composition, but doesn’t embody a material form. From person to person, there are a vast array of interpretations of what death is and what it means to each individual. There is no single universal understanding of what death is, since it doesn’t embody any physical characteristics. I am the kind of person whose opinions are very easily influenced. Whenever I read a book, listen to a song, watch a movie, or look at artwork containing a strong message, my opinions (mainly metaphysical ones) are greatly impacted.
Art is the intentional use of some medium to communicate emotions or ideas between minds. Some combination of the five senses is used to conduct information, so art may take the form of music, painting, sculpture, dance, and others. Art may be collaborative, as with the presentation of a symphony, which may involve a composer, a conductor, players, and a lighting crew all working to create the art of the presentation. Also, art occurs in at least one level of abstraction removed from reality, a representation of the real thing.
When one talks about art there are many aspects that they could be talking about. Art could be seen as a painting but it could also be seen as a sculpture or sketch. When thinking about art the possibilities of how it could be used is endless. Art could be used in interior decorating or designing something extraordinary but it could also be used as self-expression of suppressed feelings that are unknown to the consciousness.
The first stage that is introduced in the cycle of video game production is the pre-production stage. This stage is basically putting all the skeletal and frame work down so that in later stages, everything runs as smoothly as possible without having to go back an infinitesimal amount of times to change an unplanned part of the game. As with any large stage in a creation cycle, there are sub-stages within that larger stage to go by. The first is the brainstorming/planning stage. The employment outlook in my area for a Concept Artist in Video Game Development isn’t too promising. Nebraska isn’t the metropolis for technological employment like this, thus I would have to relocate to somewhere along the East or West Coasts, where jobs are more available than they are in the mid-west. This is due to the fact that a lot of the Game Publishing companies, such as Blizzard Entertainment, Monolith Games, a subdivision of Warner Bros. Entertainment, require an applicant to work on-site.
All forms of art contain lies in some manner or another. This is so because humans often only regard their reality as the truth and all other realities as lies. Many refer to art as a reflection of life, while the counterclaim that life reflects art receives equal support. In either case, one of the aspects is “true”, while the other is “a lie”. This is such because the piece that is a reflection of the other is the one that is a lie; if art is reflecting life, and then art is a lie about life, whereas if life is reflecting art, then life is a lie about art. To exemplify this concept, it is easiest to consider a mirror. If I was to stand in front of a mirror, I know I am real thanks to sense perception. However, the image created by the mirror is fake, or a lie because it is constricted to the mirror, it cannot leave the mirror, and only contains two dimensions, unlike that of which it reflects. For this reason, art is a lie. The matter in which art brings us closer to the truth is that art forces us to consider our own lives through different scopes, often causing us to realize something different or new about ourselves.
1.Two things i feel comfortable doing in my future classroom to support the concept of aesthetics for children would be helping the kids become aware of art in their everyday lives and taking children on walking trips to discover and observe the colors, shapes, and textures in trees, plants, clouds, buildings and vehicles. Resources that i would want to use for discovering and observing nature would be making a bulletin board about different types of forests, such as a tropical forest. A background that i would use for helping kids become more aware of art in their everyday life would be having a art wall to hang their art projects from the past and having art shows for parents to see.
We encounter art everyday. Art is paintings and sculptures, music and dance, film and photography. It is also fashion designing and architecture, novels and magazines. These seemingly different things have one thing in common – they are all ways in which humans convey themselves. For thousands of years, humans have used symbols to tell a story or describe a struggle. Art is the use of these symbols, symbols that represent us in some distinct way.
Artist way of thought is different than the average designer. Artists usually try to develop a work of art with the intention of bringing an emotion viewpoint, instinctive feeling, and or state of mind. If someone has visible talent in the art field, it usually comes down to a natural born ability. When dealing with artist you have to understand their mentality. The artist mentality comes down to the artistic skills and abilities that the artist is born with. Art can be defined in many ways by an individual. One can say that any creative output by a person is considered art. Others contend that art must conform to a societal standard and the basis of the creation should be understood by most intellectual people. For example, some contend that computer-generated images, such as fractals, are not art due to the large role played by a computer. E.O. Wilson states “the exclusive role of the arts is to intensify aesthetic and emotional response. Works of art communicate feeling directly from mind to mind, with no intent to explain why the impact occurs” (218). A simple definition may be that art is the physical expression of the ideals formed by the mind.
Hence, at this stage it is to explore and experiments with models, dummies and storyboards so that we can portray a glimpse of how the design will look like in reality, not to mention this method also can be used to convey ideas so that they can be understood in this context.
Offering the unique ability to visually and audibly convey a story, films remain a cornerstone in modern society. Combined with a viewer’s desire to escape the everyday parameters of life, and the excitement of enthralling themselves deep into another world, many people enjoy what films stand to offer. With the rising popularity of films across the world, the amount of film makers increases every day. Many technological innovations mark the advancement of film making, but the essential process remains the same. Pre-production accounts for everything taken place before any shooting occurs, followed by the actual production of the film, post-production will then consist of piecing the film together, and finally the film must reach an audience. Each step of this process contributes to the final product, and does so in a unique right. The process of film making will now start chronologically, stemming from the idea of the story, producing that story into a film, editing that footage together, and finally delivering that story to its viewers.
