Recommended: United states racism in the criminal justice system

America’s Growing Problem of Racist Officers Philando Castle, a school canteen supervisor, his girlfriend and her daughter driving through Minnesota, USA on the 6th of July 2016. The family were stopped by police due to a broken taillight on their car, however a routine search of the car seemed necessary to the officer, in which he found a firearm. The man tried to explain to the officer that he had a firearm license in his wallet along with his ID, and then… 4 gunshots were heard. At this point Philando’s girlfriend began live-streaming on Facebook, the horrific events that had just unfolded. In the video, you can hear the officer panicking after he shoots the man’s arm off and demand that the woman and child do not move. The 4-year-old girl was not fully aware of what had happened and can be heard saying to her mum “Mommy it’s okay” as her mother is sobbing in the front seat. The reason he was shot? Philando Castle was black. No other apparent reason. I’m positive recently in the news, on Facebook or from a friend, you have heard a story about an American black person being shot and/or killed without any apparent threat towards a member of the service designed to protect us. And even worse that most of these shootings are of innocent people. And most of the time, cops aren’t even held accountable for the unlawful slaughtering of innocent human beings. The problem is that cops are TRAINED to kill. So to those cops, apparently the only arrest they can perform is cardiac arrest. It not right, no ‘not right’ isn’t strong enough, it is downright UTTER BRAINNUMBING STUPIDITY to accept the task of protecting innocent civilians, IF YOU ARE GONNA KILL LIKE HALF OF THEM!
