I got a phone call, a while ago, from my best friend. He said that his mom came into his room crying ; she told him that if he ever got stopped by the police just to put his hands in the air. She was crying uncontrollably,he said that he had never seen her cry like that. That’s when he began to cry. He said that never in his life did he think America could be this blind. He told me that if anything ever happen to him to tell the truth about his story. That hurt me in ways I can not explain. Though most people may think they understand the true meaning behind those words, but there is so much more to it. When we say the black lives matter we are not saying that the lives other races do not matter. We are saying that our lives have never been looked at as of the same value as our caucasian counterparts. We are saying that we are being treated as disposable. Some people say that we fail to acknowledge the percentage of black on black crime is far more than police versus black crime. Though this is true, the world is a very dangerous place and without worrying about the dangers that lie within it, we should not have to be fearful of the very people who are paid to protect …show more content…

Though there are people in the community that may go about protesting in the wrong way. The majority of black lives matter protest are peaceful. You would not think that this was the case by the riots that the media shows. They prey on the actions of a few fearful souls and do not acknowledge the reasons behind the heartache. For instance, Tomi Lahren, she makes a living off the amount of views she gets from pissing people off. She likes to address the issues by calling the actions and beliefs of the “Black Lives Matter” movement ignorant and racist. She does not base her speeches on facts rather she feels the need to attack people with ethnocentric opinions. Yes, everyone is entitled to there opinion, but if your opinion is meant to attack and belittle an entire race, maybe you should keep it to yourself. This is just one example of the media spinning things and stating opinions rather than facts. The true purpose of the Black Lives Matter movement is laid out explicitly on their website.(BlackLivesMatter.com) Not once do you see them promoting violence against businesses and or the police. Black Lives Matter can not control the actions of everyone and should not be persecuted for the actions of
