Thesis: Space exploration is beneficial for anyone because of long-term survival for humanity in the future, new technologies/understandings, and increase in job opportunities.
Space exploration and programs give opportunities to people interested in science, engineering, and math, not only now but it helped in the past too.“The work done by NASA not only furthers space exploration but also encourages future generations to become involved in science and engineering” (Miozzi n.pag). NASA, inspires children to get careers that have to do with engineering and science, which also advances NASA’s exploring. “The space program was launching thousands of jobs in Alabama, Florida, Texas, and Mississippi. And Kennedy saw the space race as a vehicle for integrating the south” (Greene n.pag). In the 60’s, president JFK helped get African American communities integrated into the workplace. Therefore, the space program has a place for generations now and let minorities to be working. …show more content…

“The result is not only fantastic scientific discoveries, but also many useful inventions. From healthier baby foods to technology to better diagnose breast cancer, to farther fly golf balls, NASA technology is all around humanity” (Nine Good Reasons for Space Exploration n.pag). NASA’s exploring and traveling find discoveries, but also improves technology and inventions in general. Also, the more we explore the more answers we will find, “How did life begin?
