Artificial turf today is used on athletic fields, and is commonly known among Californians as an alternative to the drought of California. Otherwise I and others would’ve agreed, but recently cancers, injuries, and lawsuits are becoming more and more linked to turf. For it’s a growing problem with its high levels of chemicals, carcinogens, or as it is called by me, cancer-causers, and injuries given. Turf is being replaced for its many hazards in it, starting from crumb rubber, which is made of ground up tires. Being happy is one of the hardest things to be when you are diagnosed with cancer, especially at a young age, but this girl in the picture manages to pull it off. Most of the soccer players believe it was the “black dots” on the fields, yet you’d think that “black dots” can’t cause cancers, but size doesn’t matter here.
