If you are faced with a mugger, what would you do? Would pull a gun on them, and run the risk of being shot. Citizens who have a concealed handgun are more likely to be shot than someone who doesn't. It has been reported that people with a felony usually carry firearms. On top of that, a survey showed that people who don't conceal and carry feel less safe. Adults should not be able to carry a concealed handgun.Handguns are what bring shootings to the school campus, and they have dangers in owning one. Guns and what has happened to kids, adults, and mass shootings, giving guns a very negative persona.
College campuses have had cases of shootings and a hostage situation and part of it is due to concealed and carry. Colleges have the choice to conceal and carry. due to conceal and carry there have been massive school shootings and kids and peers have been shot. Also, 23 schools allow faculty to conceal and carry. If faculty can conceal and carry what stops people who claim they are a visitor or volunteer and shooting up the school. There is a link between owning a gun and deaths associated with firearms. If guns and homicides are related to each other why do people keep buying them? Homicides are a huge thing in this country, and if we cleanse Homicide rates increase with every 1% of guns owned there is a 1.1% rise in homicides related to firearms and an overall .7 increase in homicides total(Defilippis and Hughes, 2015). This statistic shows that for every 1 citizen that buys a gun is 1 person killed increasing .7% in all homicide rates. It's not just a homicide increase there is also an increase in overall suicidality levels measure, for example, mental sickness, alcoholism, poorness, etc. Suicide rates are increased because people who owned guns are more likely to kill themselves because guns are more lethal.
