I believe illegal street racing should be taken more serious and should be better contained and cops should be stricter because illegal street racing is very dangerous and it can even be deadly at times. It is also against the law to street race, speed , and it can also cause problems not only for the law with people but also for people with other people so therefore I believe cops should be way more stricter about illegal street racers.
Racers is going to increase. Not only are they injuring, killing people but they are also Illegal Street racing is a very dangerous and at times it can also be deadly. Did you know that according to Los Angeles time’s news a little over 14% of school fights start because of Illegal Street racing related problems (Stevens, 16)? Like for example the other person probably doesn’t like that you’re telling everybody that you beat him so he might try and fight you because of it. And Illegal Street racing may also cause problems with the person you race because maybe they don’t like losing and they have a short temper and they may want to try and fight you or even maybe the person that wants to fight you is just related to the person you raced but wants to fight you because he doesn’t like that your talking down on the person you raced or the persons car. Did you know that according to Times Staff news and Wire Reports 35% of all street fights are caused or because of street racing(staff,26)? According to times magazine a famous person once said a real car guy like every other car guys build because the person’s car describes who and how that person is (Daniel, 9). Just imagine how many injuries, hospital bills we can minimize if we just make street racers face a higher penalty for racing. That’s a lot of fights just for no reason. So before you decide to race think of all these things and say to yourself is it really worth
Dangers on roadways is an issue that describes the discrepancy between perception and reality of road rage. The media, for some odd reason, tends to make road rage a huge controversial issue. As seen on talk shows from Oprah Winfrey to CNN, they reveal to people that road rage could happen at any time and to always be looking over your shoulder. These talk shows and news programs also put fear into our minds by explaining that most roadragers often use guns to kill or injure their victims. Glassner contradicts the media's speculations by stating that out of approximately 250,000 people killed on roadways between 1990-1997, AAA attributed that one in one thousand was an act of road rage (pg.5).

Have you ever been to a horse race? Seeing the riders give their horses a pat and an apple after the race, people cheering for their horse as it runs rapidly to the finish line? Seems like a great time. But what happens to those horses after they are done their race. What happens to the people who gambled their family’s lives savings. All horse racing should be shut down due to the well being of the horses, the effects of gambling, and the lack of interest.
A Mark IV Toyota Supra and Chevy Camaro SS pull up at a red light on a lonesome stretch of flat road amongst a dimming blue sky; the drivers nod at one another, rev the engines, and jam the accelerator pedals. When two drivers try to outrace each other on public streets, automobile driving makes a turn into the illegal form of motor racing known as street racing. Several possible causes to this aggressive street driving include a recent release of movies that inspire racing by the desire to fulfill the adrenaline rush raging in young people, the overall convenience of street racing, and most importantly, a way for teenagers to achieve nobility status in a short a time.
Most if not all teens look forward to several events in their life. One of those events are getting a driver's license. This small piece of plastic is their ticket to freedom. This ticket is more than just freedom to be able to drive their friends around but also freedom from the ritual of their parents having to drive them everywhere and embarrass them in public. Also this is a freedom to the parents as well they may save more on gas from not having to drive their children around. However, some teens are not as safe as they possibly could be if they were to take a few steps to promote good driving habits. This is evident in the article “Teen Driving”, as the author gives the reader teen driving statistics, as well as explanations of programs and steps that can improve teen driving.
In the world of the multi-billion dollar racing industry, it is important for those involved to understand the factors that will determine successful racehorses. Racing supports people in their livelihoods, and successful horses result in a lot of money. Although it is universally accepted that the greatest factors that result in success for racehorses are breeding and training, I argue that other factors, such as experience, timing, and luck play a big role in their success as well.
In this case it will be people who lost their loved ones because of street racing. Many may not be supported of the idea because they have yet to notice all the negativity it is causing and might seemed too extreme because all these young adult are doing is street race. That is correct they are racing, but it is a fact that at some point during this races they are going to exceed the speed limits design for safety. With the help of the police department they can give out tickets to all suspects that seemed to be car racing participants, this will avoid what high speeds have proved throughout the years, which include accidents, ending sometimes with injuries and

Whistling and clicking of the tongue is how most people call a dog to get it’s attention. If that’s so, then how come 38 percent of women are whistled at monthly, and almost 95 percent at least once? Why is okay to use behaviors that humans reserve for dogs on women? Street harassment is a serious issue that needs to be stop, and although many men think a catcall is a compliment for many women it’s uncomfortable and threatening.
On average two in three people will be involved in a drunk driving accident in their lifetime. Most drunk drivers drive after they’re over the legal alcohol level because they have impaired judgment. Impaired judgment makes the person think it is fine to drive under the influence. Usually, people can get out of a bar unnoticed, which means that anyone could get hurt by an accident caused by this driver. Drunk drivers should not get their licenses taken away for life, but go to jail and get a second chance.
Motorists who have snapped and committed incredible violence are mostly men and women with no known histories of crime, violence, or alcohol and drug abuse. They are the people typically described by neighbors “the nicest woman or man” or “a wonderful mother or father.”
As mentioned above, two thirds of the fifty eight thousand highway deaths last year, 2004 were related to aggressive driving. In a recent survey by roadrage.com reported that six out of ten people reported that they were followed by a driver displeased with their driving. Another survey reported that out of those six people, four reported a chase of more than ten miles and out of the four, three reported being followed to their house. A questionnaire posted by roadragers.com surveyed 600,000 thousand people and out of those 600,000 thousand 216,000 people reported that they know someone who was killed or injured by an aggressive driver.
Drunk driving is known around the world to be illegal. It wasn’t until 1910 in New York that the state adopted the first drunk driving law. Since then, most of the population has considered drunk driving a hazard for their safety. Driving with a BAC (blood alcohol count) of over 0.08 may only be a couple drinks but the result of lack of concentration is alarming. The drivers could feel fine but they still can have trouble with steering, changing lanes, and even braking.
I. The Dangers: As mentioned before, two-thirds of the 42,000 highway deaths last year were related to aggressive driving.
