Cross country is the best sport for many reasons. First, It is a really good work out. Second, It doesn’t matter if you're a boy or girl. Third, you don’t need to be tall or big to be good at it. Also, you don’t have to rely on other teammates as much as other sports.
Cross country is a really good work out. I mean, you don’t need many supplies. All you need are a pair of running shoes. Also, iIf you don’t have anywhere to run, you can get a treadmill. You can even change the elevation on the treadmill if you want to do hill workout. Cross country is a really great sport to practice with someone because most of the time, when you start out at cross country, you start out the same speed as most other people just starting. So it's really easy and fun to train with someone like a friend.

You can be either gender to run cross country. I know other sports you can’t. Like football. Or volleyball. Also, being a girl or boy doesn’t effect if your good or not. For instance, On average, the boys are not better then the girls. But it goes both ways. The girls on average are not better then the boys. Everyone is about the same.
You don’t need to be tall or big to be good at cross country. Because in a lot of sports I know that’s true. Like basketball, football, track, volleyball, and so on and so forth. But in cross country, it's all about maintaining pace. And short people and tall people can do that. It makes no difference if you are short or skinny.
In cross country, you don’t need to rely on other teammates as much as other sports because cross country is a team sport and AND an individual sport. For instance, at the conference meet, the top 5 people on each team go to state. So I'm pretty sure the whole team doesn't just, “work together”. It's every personman (or woman) for themselves. I think this is good because then if someone on your team messes up, it doesn't affect you as much as in football or
When you play a sport it matters on how the team can play together, not how an idividual can play.
Cross country and track to an outsider, they can only be seen as running. Well, to a student of the sport they are both so much more. Runners are gathered to both, but there are plenty of variations between the two. Although I love both of these sports, if I had to side with one, I would choose track. These can commonly be seen in training, races, and people.
Running in a girl’s cross country meet isn’t as easy as it sounds, but with a little experience and help it can become a better experience. The first thing everyone does is line up on a spray painted line in the grass. Before the race even starts the race official tells us the rules and counts everyone that is running. He also tells us about any big holes or ditches that we may encounter in our 2 mile journey.
"In athletics there are more males than females; therefore, it shouldn't mean that men should limit their numbers considering that the population of males is a lot higher than that of females," said Lewis.
One reason softball is the best sport is, because you get great exercise! Running the bases, throwing, and hitting are some things you can’t do without well, staying active. Some people love to be outside and with your friends, but if you also like to be active try softball. Softball is great because mostly everyone is in on every play. Staying active is very good for your heart and metabolism and it keeps you very healthy so you can live a long happy life. It gives you great body conditioning and keeps you fit. Softball requires many skills. Not only do you need to be able to throw, catch, and hit, you need to know some drills that help you get stronger to be able to
Women have forever had this label on their back of being too small, too weak, too feminine, and too boring. The traditional gender roles of the female interfere with the extortionate nature of competing in sports. Men are usually the ones to go 100% and give whatever they got, and to show masculinity while doing it. The standard masculinity of being strong, smart, and taking charge over dues the feminine traits of being soft, gentle, and polite. That’s what society has taught us to learn and accept. But the traditional female gender role is diminished when participating in athletics and people may think it’s weird to see females compete at the same level as males do. Men have always had the upper hand in the professional, collegian, and high
Another concept I have learned from my participation in running is teamwork. No matter how hard we try, we cannot live our lives without others' help or without helping others. We must work together to succeed on the road ahead. This is the essence of teamwork. I know that even my personal success in cross-country and track is not solely mine. I know that my three district titles, one in cross country and two in track, in the 800 meter and 1600 meter runs, could not have been accomplished without my team's unequivocal support and for that, I thank them.
I enjoy running but I am definitely not a runner. I’m the girl that’s loudly gasping for air after running just 1 lap around the track in gym class. So why did I decide to run cross-country? Honestly, I just wanted to get in shape. I wanted to feel like an athlete. I am always up for a challenge and this was definitely one. Running 5 miles a day became the new normal for me. It was agonizing. I was used to running 1 slow mile and nothing
My sophomore year had begun and I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to do track this year. Last year I played football in the fall and soccer in the spring. Not really enjoying it, the decision was made to play " real futbol" (soccer) in the fall, leaving the spring sports season open. My friend kept telling me how fun track was, so I decided to give it a try.
In the world of sports it started off that girls could never play sports and then in 1972 a public law called Title IX came to existence which allowed girls to play sports but not with boys. Today the question is asked should girls play on boys’ sports teams? One would think that girls should not play with boys on a sports team because boys are just naturally taller and stronger than women and they would dominate the girls in a fully contact sport. Another may think that if a girl is truly capable to play on an all boys’ sports team, then she should not be denied the opportunity to try out for an all boys’ team. Some other people may believe that sports at younger ages should remain co-ed because boys and girls body types are still similar, but once boys and girls are in high school sports should separate based on gender. Females and Males are equal but not in physical stature, having a girl on an all boys team will negatively change the dynamics/flow of a game, having the best girl player on an all boy’s team will hurt the girls’ sports teams. So sports should strictly stay separated between males and females.
I think that's ridiculous in my theory. Girls may seem incapable of playing guy's sports, but don't underestimate them, if they are capable of dieing and putting their life on the line they can play football, and other male sports'. Some girls play soccer and you see them, many girls' sports team for male games are champions of the world. Many also are winners of softball, a girl version of baseball, but still some what a male sport. Football is apparently suppose to

Competitive means, as good as or better than others of a comparable nature.”The women had 45, 41, 30 and 25% smaller muscle CSAs for the biceps brachii, total elbow flexors, vastus lateralis and total knee extensors respectively. The men had significantly larger type I fiber areas (4597 vs 3483 microns 2) and mean fiber areas (6632 vs 3963 microns 2) than the women in biceps brachii and significantly larger type II areas (7700 vs 4040 microns 2) and mean fiber areas (7070 vs 4290 microns 2) in vastus lateralis(1Department of Physical Education, McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada(1963) Gender differences in strength and muscle fiber characteristics received from ncbi.nlm.nih.gov.) This proves that men can play more according to the fiber areas. 7070 for the men compared to 4290 of the woman microns 2 is a big difference of 2780 and affects a lot. In addition it states,” I have seen first hand how the boys outperformed the girls not just because of their skill (that’s not to say that they were more skillful because they were boys) but also they were more powerful.” As you can see, someone is not born skillful but trained to be one. The reason why is because boys do more advanced sports which makes them learn fast compared to girls who play volleyball or tennis. Furthermore, in dailymail.co.uk, it states,” Researchers have discovered that male athletes
Nearly 65% of children say they participate in sports to be with their friends (Statistic Brain). Sports were created so that the individual could get exercise but also to compete against an enemy. In addition to the individual sport, team sports quickly became popular. The idea of a team sport is that every single person on the field or court must work together to have the best opportunity to win. With the increasing popularity of sports, the average child’s age when they join sports is becoming less and less.
Being a part of a team sport shows members commitment and dedication to an activity. It allows the team member to learn commitment not only in team sports, but overall in life as well. Going to practices, games and meetings, and showing dedication to a team that one is part of is vital. Athletes build character through their participation in sports.
